Would love Alan Curbishley but would settle for Sean O'Driscoll or Billy Davies!!!!! The rest can keep drawing their job seekers allowance!!!!!

According to SSN Sean O'Driscoll has turned us down, without an interview! Well their's a SURPRISE!!!! We really are scrapping the barrel now for a manager, sorry unless Karl starts to have some ambition for the club, we're heading for League 1 and Karl does not care one bit and the rest of the board in that, the fat cats are happy with their wonga. As soon as that last parachute payment comes, Karl will take all the money from the club and walk and leave our club right in the shit, he needs to go now before we end up like Portsmouth!!!!!! Am i the only one that can see this happening!

If the new manager doesn't buy into Karls "vision" (haha) then there is no point him coming. The last thing we need is another Appleton scenario. I'm fed up of being fed up with things I cannot do anything about so from now on its just results that count for me and sod the politics. The best trip is over and normal service has been resumed.
It all about survival now and a complete rebuild next year.

So, O'Driscoll has gone to Bristol City.
Obviously couldn't handle managing a big club

Sandy, yes we do have different views on Oyston granted, but our views on Blackpool Football Club are surely the same, in an ideal world we would both love a very successful and sustainable future for the football club, which is very realistic in our current situation of the Prem parachute payments. SOME of the money should be put in the pot to back the manager and a little for the facilities and grass roots, because this is our future. As for Billy Davies, you saying if he was offered the Blackpool football club managers job, then you would not back him!

Personally I think if we are to strength at all before the transfer window shuts we need a manager who has connections and has not been out of the game for more than 3 months and no one will agree but i would like to see Keith Hill be considered personally or just to annoy Ted Gnasher as player manager

My own preference would have been Thommo because he has the same passion for BFC as us. I am not sure what Houston brings to the table to be honest.

Improvement on Appletonk but like everyone else, I'd rather it was Thommo
Then again the guy who cleans the toilets would be an improvement on Appleton

April, I am with you with the fact Michael Appleton was the wrong choice and we have had a very lucky escape in my opinion and now we have the chance to rectify it by appointing the right man, My problem is after Ollie, who is the right man!

My problem is after Ollie, who is the right man! For me that's easy, given that I believe he was an integral part of our success under Ollie, the answe has to be Thommo

I think tommo would only take it if he had the option of going back to being assistant at the end of the season if it went tits up

Mind you after just watching tommo pre match interview just give him the job Karl then at least we might get some fight and desire back into the squad.

I would like to see Micky Mellon offered a role at BFC. Not as manager yet but maybe in the future. He has a good knowledge of lower league prospects so "Reserve Coach" would be an excellent post if he wants it.

Well Houston is no longer being considered
PETER Houston will not be Blackpool’s next manager.
The Dundee United boss was installed as the bookmakers’ odds-on favourite to replace Michael Appleton yesterday, when his Scottish Premier League club revealed they had granted permission for Pool chairman Karl Oyston to speak to him.
However, The Gazette understands Houston is not on Pool’s wish-list and the Seasiders won’t be talking to the 54-year-old Scot.
He is one of many options to have been considered by the Seasiders as the club goes into tonight’s FA Cup replay against Fulham with caretaker Steve Thompson again at the helm.
Oyston will continue to go through a list of potential candidates today and has made enquiries about several managers, some currently in work and some not.
The confusion surrounding Houston appears to have arisen after Oyston spoke to Dundee United chairman Stephen Thomson on Sunday night.
Houston was discussed, though The Gazette understands no official approach was made and he is not being considered for the Bloomfield Road job.
The former Scotland assistant manager has been in charge at Dundee United since 2009, having initially replaced Craig Levein on a caretaker basis.
Success in the Scottish Cup and a third-place finish in the SPL saw Houston installed on a permanent basis six months later.
The Tannadice club have not fared so well this season and Houston, who is out of contract in the summer, has been told he must take a wage cut to remain in his post.
The Seasiders are looking to appoint quickly following Appleton’s move to Blackburn last Friday.

We need some stability at the club, all this is he , ain't he, where's our manager gone again, can't be good for morale within the squad! Personally give it Thommo and promote KP to assistant till the end of the season, with all the turmoil gone on, we just need to stabilise now and go again next season.
