Well, I bit the bullet and hauled myself out of my self imposed exile and went to watch the boys against Burnley. They made a fist of it and went down fighting and I couldn't fault commitment to the shirt in any way. We lacked any sort of option up front and no matter how hard the defence and midfield worked there didn't seem to be an outlet for any form of attack. In the last fifteen minutes Burnley seemed happy to settle for the one goal lead and it was all very misleading that we appeared to be all over them when I would say that they just allowed us to come onto them.
What didn't change for me was the decision I made to back away from Bloomfield Road because of the whingeing fans with their unreal expectations. It is now fifty times worse, horrible. I was cringing and embarrassed by the behaviour of so many "supporters" especially as I had brought a guest. It was her first football match and her remark to me summed up my agony over the last couple of seasons. "Why don't they get behind the lads instead of all that Oyston Out stuff." Precisely! In the last fifteen minutes while we were a goal down and the ball went out for a Burnley goal kick a Blackpool "supporter" decides it will be good fun to keep hold of the ball and tease their goalkeeper into coming to get it. Like their goalkeeper really gave a sh**. Whose time was he wasting anyway. The mind boggles!! And don't get me started on the ludicrous tennis ball thing. Unbelievable!
It was good to see a few of my mates there who I had been going to watch the Pool with for nigh on fifty years and more. One summed it by saying," I just want to be a Blackpool supporter again," and I know what he meant. Win, lose or draw get behind the boys and do your whinging on the way home amongst yourselves. Anyway, cant write anymore.

Good post mate, ill always take time to read any post by a supporter who bleeds tangerine, however and this is not my take on things but i feel every supporter has the right to protest against this regime! But its the timing go a goal down and all hell breaks loose, at 0-0 nothing? I believe most supporters want to protest the right way with exceptions but KOKO just laughs, so when one tactic fails another prevails! I do not want innocent children, men & women getting caught in the crossfire, so to me their has to be either a change or a solution, or these kids will be shit scared of going to bloomers & they are our future, with or without Koko! But with KOKO goading the fans like a spoilt rich DICTATOR is their another way? All i can see unless Koko changes his policys or sells up is a dark depressing future for us ALL!

I think its fair to say I have been a supporter of the Oyston's not least because their predecessors were so abysmal and the alternatives to them frighten me a little bit. I just wonder which benefactor is out there that can do better because rest assured they will be castigated by the fans just as much as the Oyston's if success doesn't follow.
Karl Oyston can be an absolute pain in the butt with his frugal ways but he and the family have dragged us out of the dark ages that were beginning to permeate our great club. They have taken us from the bottom of the old 4th Division to the top of the Premier League (albeit only for an hour or so)and we now have a nice stadium as opposed to the ruins of what was left of the old ground. Yes, it has taken time and yes, they have made money out of the club along the way but I know I would rather be us than Portsmouth or a few others who tried to buy their way to success.
I do believe Karl has really tried to change and every time he makes a mistake, although he will never admit to making one he does try and get it better next time. I just think its better the devil you know in football and no matter what or who you have in charge at a football club success and failure is all part of the game and it always ebbs and flows, ask Liverpool fans. I just think the protestors should maybe be careful what they wish for.
My beef is always that if you support a club, support it through thick and thin and not turn on the players like has happened for a while now. I just cant watch that happen without reaction, hence my current exile because my reaction gets me into trouble. Passion you see for my wonderful club.
Anyway Rob, thanks for your reply and the beauty of this forum is we all love our club so much and all views are respected.

Its great to see some reasoned debate on this forum I to have tended to support the Oystons for the very reasons you have given. My big beef with Karl is his total intransigence I to will support through thick and thin but as a supporter I WANT to know what is going on. I want to know where the club is going please Karl talk to us or better still spend some money on PR we want to know are we going to get a new training ground and if so please give us some idea of time scale, let us know what if anything is holding it up. Let us know what your vision is or the club both on and off the field. As Blackpool fans we don't expect the best players in the world to come to play for us but to my simple mind with good training facilities and given a first rate coaching setup we maybe will attract better younger players who may come to us to learn and better themselves. Hopefully these can develop and give us a couple of years of first team football before moving on to bigger clubs earning Blackpool transfer fees to be reinvested in the club.
Is this all too much to ask for the fans to know what is going on I can understand the current protests but feel sure if we knew of what the vision is we could buy in to it and support wholeheartedly even in these desperate times and even if we get relegated the fans will stay loyal.
PLEASE KARL START TO KEEP US INFORMED YOU KNOW IT MAKES SENCE.

I have to agree with you about Karl Oyston shopkeeper. I think it could all be a lot different if he could show just a little humility from time to time and like you say, communicate with the fans more. Also like you say, just get the PR bit right and it would help with the unrest. He seems to think if he has the odd question and answer session with Radio Lancs or BSA its enough, it aint Karl. You come across as showing contempt for the fans but I dont believe you think like that in truth. I think you are a real fan at heart as are your parents. I truly believe you and your family bleed Tangerine like the rest of us.
I have witnessed many things over the years with you and your family that prove it. After beating Sheff Utd in the League Cup away when they were a big club the Oystons were in the motorway services and Vicky was dancing round the tables singing "Tangerine Army." I have known Owen put £300 behind the bar anonymously in a pub in Covent Garden full of Blackpool fans after a London game was called off at the last minute. I have seen Karl on the terraces at quite a few away games, even sat next to him once at Burnley and he was just a fan. Doubt if he could do that now but believe me folks the Oystons are fans too.
That doesn't change the politics though and I can understand the unrest that the sometimes intransience of Karl causes but I still say its better the devil you know until somebody else puts their head above the parapet to take us on.
I also repeat what I said to the Oyston Out brigade, be very careful what you wish for.

I went to the Amex yesterday, my third trip since it opened and not expecting a good result seeing as we were well beaten this time last season 6-1, but the team this year made a fight of it, chased and harassed the opposition and right in front of us Dobbie let fly with a quite remarkable shot, great shame his second attempt some minutes later wasn't a repeat. The performances this season have to a large degree be woeful, some players playing way above their capabilities and often out of position, firstly under a manager who was not up to the job and secondly by a non proven manager thrown in at the deep end, no wonder many of the performances have been dire. It reminded me of a game we had at Brighton back in 2006 or 7 at the Withdean, a team that included Evo, Southern who scored the first of our three goal win, Burgess, Hoolahan, Vernon and we were in the third division of Enlish football probably a better team than the one we have now and you have to ask yourself why. Since then we have had investment from Belekon which enabled us to buy CH and DJ and along with Ollie reach the Premiership and no doubt with a little investment at the time the possibility of another year or two in the League but nothing came of it. We are where we are now languishing at the wrong end of the Championship because of lack of investment, if you can't see that Sandy I feel sorry for you, we have a group of players past their better days and some no better than 1st or 2nd division footballers and although I will go and support them I can't help thinking of what could have happened, the Oystons have let us the fans and the town down. All those youngsters having been to Wembley seen us play against the best teams in the land now likely to give up, they want to wear the shirt of success not failure, what a great opportunity thrown away because of the scandalous way this club has been run, it is a crying shame and I just don't know how you can support that family.

I made a decision over the weekend to buy a season ticket for next year regardless of what division we end up in. Corporate greed has robbed our club of a few more glory years but at the end of the day I enjoy supporting our club. For a brief while we had it all with an attractive successful brand of football, good players, a good manager, excellent support, money in the bank and it has all been dismantled for the sake of private wealth. But at the end of the day I'm a BFC supporter and there really is no choice but to carry on and hope for better times ahead.

Hey, guys, play nice !! Do you know, I can agree with most of what others have said, and some things going round and round in my head, even I can't sort out, but here goes. I don't think there is anything wrong with expecting the Prem money to have transformed our club, and the O's dragging their feet on the training ground gets my goat more than anything about who we do and don't sign. Unlike most fans, I actually do think we had a team this season capable of at least mid table, possibly even challenging at the top. They ain't been played where they should, change so often makes Ollie's Tinkerman reputation seem positively stable. And tactics have been dire, you only win games by scoring goals, and playing an unlinked striker on his own up front will never work, and PI and BF have both been poor at this. Karl may or may not be a fan, I have to trust Sandy's judgement on that, but this egotistical winding up of fans is madness. They are his customers, his long term cashflow and photos of him taking the xxxx out of protests, after such a poor season, looks like he doesn't care. I would love him to come out, hold his hand up and say, after two brilliant mgmt appointments, he's dropped two wotnots. Take responsibilty, lay out your plans. Now, I find any threats against him, his family or employees to be totally and unarguably wrong, but would also like him to hold his employees to a higher standards, Pince's own poor discipline and this thug who is apparently assistant manager inviting a fan to Squires Gate to sort him out, this is playground stuff and has no place in any business. Is a club a business or a community asset, both and neither, I guess. Thus is where the confusion fundamentally lies, fans think they have a say in what goes on, KO thinks it is his family business, and he doesn't need to take their views into account. The social media is full of wind up merchants, and that includes some Oyston relatives. Fans have a right to protest, the Tangerines throwing would have been far better if not so many tennis balls, and had taken place outside the game. Those older will remember previous protests, normally chanting marches, but with TV there, I guess most people thought that as KO appeared to be ignoring their worries, maybe the wider world would provide pressure. KO does seem to be very proud of his financial controls, maybe if he was seen to be failing at the main aim of a club, he might change. Sorry to bore on, as an exile I feel pretty helpless. Still be down when I can whatever division, but I just think we have missed such an opportunity to set us up for another dozen years at this level. Club motto, Progress, heaven help us.

To me I support the players and follow my beloved team like i have for the last 33 years and I'm only a junior compared to some fans and have already signed on the dotted line for 4 more season tickets for the next 2 years and people are welcome to protest and shout at the oystons that does not really bother me, but i will not stand for my kids being scared by what i can only describe as mindless fools and abused by other pool fans because we will not join in in the chanting and the like.
We had a fantastic time in the premiership and achieved the unthinkable after all we where not meant to get more than 10 points and no matter what the score the atmosphere in the ground that season was like nothing I have experienced or felt since.
As for Karl well he is Karl I'm afraid thick skinned and thick headed shall we say, if nothing else we should have had a new training complex out of that Prem money as for the last few years player wise Holloway cast the next far and wide trying to build a academy at one point we had 54 footballers on the books passing over applecart and moving onto Ince the only signing he really made of any quality was Perkins and Fuller to a lesser extent as he is injury prone now at this stage of his career and as for poor old Barry he has had to scrap around and try and find something while tied down with having to pay idiots like chopra 7k base wage a week the fat git.
We will never find a multi million football fan wanting to take the club over for the simple reason our fan base now is way to small due to the demographics of Blackpool and the surrounding area.
Just one note Karl your meant to be a business man please at least act like one and that includes keeping your siblings in line because it really does not help the situation or the name of the club.
Just random thoughts folks lol

Signed up for next season too. Must be barking bloody mad !!!! Despite the politics of it all I would just miss it too much. I certainly don't want to spend my Saturdays looking at the BBC website for the scores or worse still......... shopping
I guess that's why football is different to other forms of entertainment. Remember Karl that doesn't make me a mug.........or does it??
