I hope I speak for everyone on this forum when I express my condolences to the family and club of a true legend of the game, a real gentleman and one of our greatest rivals

Yeah, well said April. I think you and I are the epitome of that rivalry we hold dear with that team from up the road but Sir Tom was of an age that kept it all in perspective. As has been said, a great player and a great bloke. Thanks for everything sir, you will be missed.

Yes, well said April, I know some of us oldies hark back to that era but it had something that is truly missing in today's football. Sir Tom was as a special person, they do no make them in that mould anymore and I am very pleased I had the opportunity to see him when he played

Well said everyone, can't imagine any of today's players getting the recognition and respect that all the players of that era have. Not quite being of that age bracket ( though not far off lol ) I never got to see them play, but I bet it was truly amazing, none of the diving, throwing themselves on the floor etc .
Rip a true footballer
Xx
