I don't think I have ever been so fed up as a pool fan in the 35 years i have been watching the pool and i actually found myself yesterday wishing for the return of the run down ground and outside loo all for the simple reasons if was a far better Saturday afternoon than at the moment you knew before you arrived that we where going to be lucky to get a result and that we where broke but by god it was fun compared to the present situation where the club seems to be ripping itself apart from within and the fans are set at each others throats..... oh the the good old days

I must admit I often recall events of long ago, particularly when feeling low, but the tragedy of all this is that only four years ago at Wembley when I found myself with tears in my eyes having waited decades to witness our long road back, it has all now gone to pieces. It is a tragedy whether you are a relatively new fan or indeed a senior observer and now it has to be taken by the scruff of the neck otherwise league one beckons and getting back from there will take some doing.

Yeh, know what you mean. Having won the £90M, none of us expected Tight wad Karl to spend it all, but we all expected at least a bigger transfer budget and decent training ground.
Never happened, he was so shortsighted he lost the biggest asset BFC had in the manager, seemed to take great joy in losing all our decent players, and managed to achieve the impossible in the merry go round that is football management, couldn't find a manager.
I hope we look back next year on this as a blip in our continued stay in the Championship, but where oh where is the tactics and skills to actually win a game coming from? I do feel sorry for BF, am sure he will give everything, but he desperately needs one recognised game changer, and a midfield disrupter if he isn't going to play.
Still, for 90% of my time as a Pool fan, I've had low expectations, so what's new?

Oh the memories! Totally agree with all the above. I remember the games in the late 80's n 90's when you were on top of the world beating Darlington or Maidstone at home because we knew we were skint. but now is a different story we are a very wealthy club? Sorry we have very wealthy owners and none of it has been used in the club to progress! The only thing i see on the horizon is them days back under KOKO but it will feel a whole lot bitter. I just wish Panarama could get involved and put that parasite on the stand to explain. I can see us getting 12-15 pts till the end of the season & that spells the drop! Our derby next year will b Fleetwood! Playing in front of 5000 at home! We have gone so far backwards that the future realy does look bleak! Oyston out!

Big problem is people are saying oyston out (only in our wildest dreams) because there is nobody to come in and they know it, its nearly 10 years this may since land was aquired and plans submitted to the council for a new training facility, ten bloody years. just think what we could have doen with that 13 million payment that left the club to owen and so much for it is available when required... well excuse me its been fucking required all season...
So sorry for Barry he wants to carry on in football as a manager and has been working towards it for the last 3/4 years and he finds himself in at the deep end and the chairman has not even got the decency to give him the job till the end of the season.. just think Karl if you had not gone crazy and sacked thommo as well barry could still play and tommo could be stood on the sidelines to help him out.
