Left Palace "by mutual consent"
It just shows that when you have the perfect mix of individuals, like we had in that magic season, its not easy to replicate.
Not one of the dream team have improved their stock since leaving.
Oh what could have been with a decent January transfer window that year. (or if we had signed a decent reserve keeper!!!)
All the best to the man though. Always a legend for me.

And as for "Poor" Mr Holloway . . . , he was a year into a 4 year contract reputedly worth 2 1/2 million a year, so Palce will have to buy him out which means he just trousered something like 7 1/2 million !!
Karl taught him well !!!
Poor . . . my arse

I think "mutual consent" will mean a much reduced pay out. I think his salary would be nearer £250k pa not £2.5m. At Pool I think he was on £200k. Yeah he won't be poor but that's not a crime.
Most people will earn a salary for 45ish years in their career. Whats the expected life of a new prem manager these days...a year?? I'll let you do the maths on that one.
A complex character that relied too much on his passion for the game. Unfortunately not enough at the top level.
Needs some time out. But he'll be back.

Have to agree he looked pale and ill looking & in definate need of a rest to recharge! I thought he would of learnt from past mistakes, seeming leaving a club where hes worshiped and has a job 4 life for more money and bigger pressure! He did it at Plymouth and us! As said above i've no doubt he'll be back & like a wounded animal, detetmined & with the hunger & fire bk in hes belly! Always will be a legend to me, so good luck Ollie!

Can't honestly ever do anything other than wish him well, a very fragile psyche, maybe the flawed genius.
I'd always buy him a pint if I met him, not only the most success during my 40 odd years as a Tangerine, but also the most exciting.
Not to take anything away from Pincey, who does things differently and successfully, but I know which I'd rather watch
