Just interested on the take of anyone else who was there last night, I'm finding my experience totally at odds with what's being reported in both the Gazette & LEP

It was lively!
Papers making a big deal about it and it was out of order from both sets of fans, but mainly PKE who were enjoying our loss. Not as bad as WHU.
I don't really mind a good pitch invasion if I'm honest but it could have turned very nasty. Luckily the steward was OK but it could have been a lot worse.
Other than that the game was pretty poor and we should have won.
PS enjoyed the shoe dance! Bit naughty but still funny.

TBH, I thought the stewarding fell woefully short of acceptable. Most of the PNE fans who invaded the pitch were mainly kids and youngsters who were just over-excited at their team having won a victory over their superior local rivals. However, there were a significant minority (probably about a hundred) who clearly invaded the pitch with the clear sole intent to incite & provoke the Blackpool fans in the Bill Shankly Kop and only the timely intervention of the Mounted Police and the fact the front few rows had netting over them that prevented far uglier scenes.
As for the Blackpool fans, I saw about 3 try and get on the pitch and subsequently escorted away by the stewards. with regard to the allegations of damage made by PNE'S GM, All I can say is my father and I were probably the last 2 people out of the Shankly and if there had been "hundreds of seats ripped out" causing "thousands of pounds worth of damage", I'm sure we would have noticed one or two, which we didn't. The only things I saw being thrown were generally being thrown at the Blackpool fans from the Invincible's Stand. Seems to me it's just a smokescreen to try and deflect attention away from the shameful behaviour of their so-called fans and their club's inability to arrange proper stewarding. I'll be interested to see whether they manage to produce CCTV footage of the alleged damage as our club have requested.
All in all, I thought the 'Pool fans did the club proud and it was a shameful night for the club from a provincial market town with delusions of grandeur that's still trying to live in it's past
As for the match, we had chances, they had chances, they converted one, we didn't . . . . simples & no biggie, we're still superior !!

I find it strange that in this day of camera phones not one photo has arisen of the thousands of pounds of damage to the seating and PNE have refused to provide the club with any CCTV or photos which to me says it all. As for the match they put the chance away and after seeing last nights results a few more championship clubs will be scratching their collective heads and thanks for the extra time Barnsley had to play as well
