So how many of us on our little hidden forum are going on sunday? as much as pre season is turning into a nightmare i can not wait just to get inside Bloomers. It's strange how this little club of ours gets under your skin and this year the whole family is going all season, my last male only domain has been invaded by the wife and my daughter who is really excited about the season

Well I hope you all enjoy the experience, no doubt it will have it's ups and downs and with luck not to many of the latter, can't help but feel it will be a hard slog and yes looking forward to the start of things.

I'm going.
Can't wait to see the lads again and hopefully a few new faces.
I like the barcodes and when I lived up that way in the 80's used to go and watch them every now and then when the Mrs went shopping (it was all POTG). Remember Gazza's first season when you just couldn't get the ball off him. Never seen a better 18 year old play. A pre match pint of 80 bob in the Strawberry next to the ground (sofas in the beer garden!)
Likely to be a lively night in Blackpool whatever the result.

Not a bad match and some signs that it might not be a doom and gloom season a few more good additions and we might just have something, Was impressed with Davies he has a good touch (excluding his free kick lol) and some skill on the ball think when fully instigated and fit he could be a real handful for other teams this year. But priority this week has to be a proven and effective right back.

I thought we looked great after the first 5 mins! We seem to have gained a bit of bite up front (Chopra) and bossed the midfield. The result was not significant but I honestly though we were the better team for most of the game. Typical Prem team though...3 chances 1 goal for Newcastle 10 chances 0 goals for the pool.
Mr Ince likes big players and by god he's found some. A few surprise trialists on show too with a very impressive Claasen wearing number 26. This guy (South African)looked the real deal. Tiny but very skilful and could be the perfect attacking midfielder if we can get him. Bishop was the only disappointment who looked out of his depth, but everyone else looked the biz and raring to go.
Overall I'm pretty optimistic for the season on one condition...........
GET A RIGHT BACK!!!!

got to agree about Bishop would rather let one of the youngster be given a chance as he really looked way out of his comfort zone

I could be cruel and say zero.
Is he signed up or on trial? (latter I think)
I don't think he'll be staying unless Incey see something we don't.

Lovely jubbly, at last a few positive comments and semi smiling faces.
I have had to bite my tongue, smile and say nowt until the usual Pool fans pre season negativity, hand wringing and rants against KO abated. It always amazes me how every season folk fall for the same impatience at the lack of signings and sluggish progress in that department only to be suddenly surprised when it starts to fall into place.
Its the Blackpool way, was it ever thus. Oh, and I know its cos you care.
UP THE MIGHTY

Believe Bishop was one of Incey Wincey Spider's pin-up boys at Notts County (club captain I believe ?). Hopefully Spider will have the spidersense not to offer him a contract
Claasen looks like the deal Deal, 68 games with Lierse in Belgium's top flight

This could be a master stroke by Karl because this is what pool have to do to get him a work permit, have highlighted the important bit and we can surely prove that after all we will not get anybody of that quality for 90 quid and a free box of daz.
Should the Championship side take up their interest, they would still face a battle in getting the former Ajax Amsterdam midfielder a work permit and would require a special dispensation from authorities.
That is more likely to be granted if he joins a Championship club, where he would need to argue that his talent is above what Blackpool could reasonably afford among local United Kingdom players.
