Not a bad result all in all and after reading some reports we were lucky to get a point. I'd certainly take that against a relegation rival away from home.
I still think set pieces are now becoming a strong feature for us going forward. Paul Ince is certainly setting up a much more defensive team and for now until the end of the season that just what we need, especially away from home.
At home we've got to go for wins though and not be frightened of pushing up. With GTF maybe out for a while I would seriously consider bringing Ecclestone up the ranks as a useful sub. He scores goals and will be positive which hopefully will lift the team. 3 more wins and we can start to plan next season. The sooner the better!

Was a good point at Birmingham but the pressure is on to get a couple of wins beginning with Peterborough, although nothing in this leauge is a surprise we could even win at Watford on Saturday, now wouldn't that be something. As far as Ecclestone is concerned, saw him score a late goal at Charlton in January then on the subs bench a good few times but that's it, would still like to see the Fonz from the start in the striker role.
Notced in the Gazette that Mr Ince senior does not like our gung ho style of play, shame that, rather liked it myself.

I'm with you on that Whit. We love gung ho, we did very well when we were gung ho. "Breath of fresh air" and all that. Haven't heard that comment for a while. No fear of losing just attack. We used to scare teams to death. A distant memory now.Was great while it lasted. We just can't expect Paul Ince to be something he isn't. I hate to say it but Holloway was a one off and I expect our premiership season will be the same. Its all about Championship survival now.

Depressing but true. It takes bravery to go all out to win, and most football managers aren't brave.
Funny Bambi scored after our thoughts about set pieces, I do love his never say die style, seems to be growing as the season develops. Hopefully, with poor old GTF out, da Fonz will get some serious time, but if we aren't going all out, will he get the service?
Anyway, another point to survival, another bogey team put to rest, another relegation rival not getting anything on us, and our GD is still worth a point

Just read the article thanks Whit
“I only found out after the game that he played yesterday, so it’s understandable he looked a bit tired at the end."
Think Mr Ince needs to do his homework properly!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I listened to some of it on the radio and the guy hardly ever seemed to be mentioned, the sooner we can limp to safety and start again the better
