Petrol, I have a receipt from 25 january just one month ago and it is now 6p a litre more, roughly 27p a gallon rise in four weeks. With the price in litres it never really sounds so bad but a few years back if they said petrol was going to rise by 27p a gallon there would have been near riots on the streets. We take it all in our stride now. The British stiff upper lip.

I gather it is speculation from the traders rather than oil price??
Diesel 147.9 up here today, anyone beat that?

Filled DIESEL tank last week @ 1.38, it is now 1.43 at same garage (cheapest anywhere round here). No reason - no severe weather affecting oilfields, no terrorist activity in oil producing coutries, - Oil cruse has actually fallen, .... just greed and speculation. Bastards.
