Do they not realise that we tend to play football matches on a Saturday? why in this day and age are they having to travel to a hearing on a Friday, have they not heard of video conferencing. just madness to me could you imagine what Sir alex would have to say if RVP had to travel to Switzerland the day before a match TOM Ince is bound for Switzerland on Friday. The Seasiders winger will head to UEFA headquarters in Nyon with England U21 boss Stuart Pearce and the FA’s legal team to appeal against his one-match international ban. Pool’s top scorer and Tottenham’s Steven Caulker, who also makes the trip, were banned for one and two games respectively following the melee at the end of the U21s’ controversial clash with Serbia in Krusevac in October. England hope the bans will be overturned but UEFA could increase them, further jeoparding the players’ involvement in this summer’s European Championships.

Couldn't face him not being in the team at present, just hope the weather does not effect flying this weekend and he gets back in time, good point about the timing, bloody stupid on a Friday.

I guess it would only be light training on a Friday before a game. There is no good time to wizz off to a hearing and surely they have an office in the UK. Can't understand why he even needs to be there.

The ban, believe it or not was for IMPROPER CONDUCT, with the England team threatended verbally and physically throughout the game, coins and other objects thrown at English players and they have the bloody nerve to pick on two English lads, it was a joke and a rather sick one at that.
PS should have added, the conduct was because he stood up and faced them and probably told them some home truths.

That is just sad what happened to cleaning the game up? its okay for them to be abused for 90 mins by fans but heaven forbid should the abused human being then give them a piece of their mind at the end of a match. What is happening to our once simple and beautiful game

did not realise it was a court of law? lol how can they tell one who got a 2 match ban to do a day's community service and tom only who got a 1 match ban still stands?
The Tottenham centre-back has been ordered to do a day's community service, while the Blackpool winger will miss the European Under-21 Championship opener this summer Steven Caulker's two-game ban for his involvement in a post-match brawl between England Under-21 and Serbia Under-21 players back in October has been rescinded, but Tom Ince's one-match suspension has been upheld.
The Football Association launched an appeal against the punishments handed out to the duo, but Uefa had mounted a counter-appeal requesting that all sanctions handed out to those on both sides be increased.
Caulker has been warned about his future conduct and will now instead do a day's community service, but Ince will miss the first match of England's European Under-21 Championship campaign against Italy this summer.
The pair were joined by coach Stuart Pearce at the appeal hearing, and gave their accounts of a clash marred by racist abuse directed at England players by the home fans and violent clashes at the final whistle.
Pearce told the FA's official website: “We respect Uefa’s decision and we will now move on and focus on the finals tournament in the summer.
"We welcome the ruling to overturn Steven Caulker’s suspension and choose to accept the verdict with regards to Tom Ince.
"Both players should be proud of the way they represented themselves at Uefa.”
Serbia have been ordered to play their next two competitive home Under-21 matches behind closed doors, while their original fine of £65,000 has not been increased.
Serbian player Nikola Ninkovic, originally hit with a two-game ban, will now sit out three matches, while coach Andreja Milunovic remains banned from all football-related activities for two years.

Uefa motto, We Care about Football, well if they cared that much they would have thrown the book at the Serbs and realised that any English players involvement was nothing more than being there. If they really want to stop racism in football there was an ideal opportunity to show to the world that they meant business, but once again they have shown little enthusiasm for a fight. A sad outcome for Ince who I am sure is a decent guy and a sad day for English football in general.

Nothing will ever be done while we have the likes of Platini & Blatter, Just like the UCI never did anything about the dopers under Verbruggen and continued to do nothing for years under McQuaid

That would be the perfect response.
Not sure why they are so out of touch, so lacking common sense and so inadequate. It's almost like they are scared to take on any country, except good old Blighty cos they'll take it on the chin like men. Can't see any financial advantage, surely England provides a lot more funding than the racist states?
