Matt Derbyshire has joined Blackpool on a loan deal from Nottingham Forest until the end of the season.
The Lancashire-born striker is no stranger to playing his football in the north-west, having spent five years at Blackburn Rovers.
Capped 14 times as an England Under-21 international, Derbyshire has since been out to Greece with Olympiacos, before returning to England for a loan spell at Birmingham and subsequent transfer to Forest. This season he has spent time at Boundary Park under Paul Dickov at Oldham.
The 26-year-old, who will wear the number 38 shirt at Bloomfield Road, is expected to travel with the rest of the squad to The Midlands this afternoon.
and one out maybe
Sky Sports understands Blackpool midfielder Scott Robertson is set to return to the Scottish Premier League with Hibernian.
Robertson arrived at Bloomfield Road last July on a two-year deal but has failed to establish himself at the Championship club, with the 3-0 defeat at Cardiff in September marking his only appearance.
The 27-year-old Scot, who joined Blackpool from Dundee United, is set to return north with Hibs on a two-and-a-half-year deal.
Robertson, a twice-capped Scotland international, amassed over 100 appearances for the Terrors over a four-season spell at Tannadice after beginning his senior career at Dundee.
