I think phil brown would be enough to send me into obit. i just put it down to yet another Indian betting scam. stick a load on to shorten the odds and lengthen the odds of others then stick double the amount on the actual most likely person. after all the Indian cricket team need something to do

I see the world of the Internet in certain areas has gone into melt down its amazing what a rumor can do, until the club say anything appy is still the manager of the team and really do not see the point in trying to work out what is going on.
Of course if we had a local paper that had some teeth and could keep the fans informed half of this rubbish would not come about.
So if appy does leave or has left it means two things we become the joke club not Blackburn and you can forget transfer window not that we where ever going to splash a load of cash and will never understand why people still think we will after all these years, its just the way the club is run and as disheartening as it is for the fans we should be use to it, because it will not change for another 2 years at least.
The quietness on the wiseman front 3 days after having a offer accepted should sound the alarm bells in my opinion. Mind you can anyone remember ever the last time we had a manager who just tells it as it is? bet Karl not use to having a manager in place who will openly criticize the club and facilities.
Remember Karl appy wanted 4-5 players by Friday and he is not sort of a few quid either after his compensation pay out from his surgery on his knee so just maybe for once we have somebody that will stand up to Karl all we need now are some results to strengthen his position and you might have a very difficult situation on your hands.

Looks like the Wiseman deal has fallen through anyway as the player "failed to agree personal terms". Sounds like there is a lots going on behind the scenes here. We are becoming a joke. Who would want to come here now?

It has just been officially announced that Blackburn have made an approach for Michael Appleton, our new manager, following days of rumours and him being made favourite by all the bookies. It follows Oystons refusal to continue with the Training ground plans (2009 statement) and ongoing refusal to back first Olly and now Appleton in managing the team. The final straw was rumoured to be Appleton requesting a meeting with Oyston, and Karl not turning up. Although he hasn't gone yet, I can't see him staying after his outspoken comments recently regarding the pitch, another area where Oyston steadfastly refuses to invest a penny. I have no doubt that the final parachute payment will disappear into Zabaxe and then hopefully the Oystons will F*&CK off.

Taking Thommo out of the equation just for the moment.
Right Now
If you were an aspiring manager would you come to BFC? If you were a player would you relish a contract with BFC? If you were a Club would you loan a player to BFC (with our pitch and training facilities)? If you were an agent would you approach BFC with your best prospects?
Rewind 18 months and ask the same questions
Karl you are a first class Muppet and have wasted the huge opportunity gifted to you.
Is it possible to get it so wrong so often.
Your penny pinching attitude has come back to bite you and you're not as clever as you clearly think you are. Its embarrassing !!

Pete you are spot on I was saying 2 years ago that Karl should not waste the Premiership money by making big money signings but should get the infrastructure in place by building a new training ground and getting the pitch right with undersoil heating. What has happened NOTHING! I can think of stronger things to call Karl but have moderated myself. Also for gods sake can we get a PR dept to let the fans know what is HAPPENING. Karl you're a

right back from my stroll and still fed up Lets get something straight Karl we are all thankful for daddy saving the club 30 years ago but that is no excuse now and i think the club has rewarded the family in full. I see we have now refused Blackburn permission to speak to appy so now we have a manager who is un appy and not been at the club since Saturday, stop trying to play the billy big balls as it ain't working no more. 10% of the premiership money would have got the club a new training ground a decent pitch and a couple of good players and you could have done with the other 90% what ever the hell you liked. The club was on the move in the right direction 2/3 years ago with media attention and new fans young and old and now we are going backwards and will loose everything we have gained over the last few years and nobody else can be blamed but the family. You might not care one jot about the football side or its fans but you have a duty of care and all your doing is killing the most important aspect of any business its customers. While you are lucky that some like myself will still turn up week in and week out lots will now vote with their feet and income will fall and knock on sales of other items so in the long run not only hurt our beloved club but also your own pockets. Your system of dealing with agents might have brought success either by judgment or luck a few years ago it has run its course and its time to put up or take one final payday and put the club and ground up for sale. How can we fail to agree terms with a player from Barnsley who's wage bill is half of ours according to their last accounts, no agents will come near us and players will not want to join us or other club loan player to us all because of your attitude and lack of investment within the club. Most of the fans would probably have a new pitch and training ground than a fucking hotel who's income does not go to the club. Also this business of rolling manager contracts has to stop appoint a manager and give them a fixed term contract of at least 3 years and same with any young players we do sign no more 2 year with a one year option on top. Just look at how much the club has lost in transfers because of this!! palaces zaha is no better than Ince but he is on a 5 year contract and thus why they can command silly money transfer fees of 12 million upwards. To conclude i have always supported the family when it comes to the football club but now even I'm getting pissed off with it. get it sort for once you numb nut before you destroy the legacy for my kids and future generations

To be honest I'm not too fused whether Appleton stays or goes, but I have to say he's gone up in my estimation since he's stood up to Karl. Clearly not a man to give up easily he cannot see a way forward with BFC and feels his hands are tied. Anyone would want out in that position. BRFC is hardly a cake walk but must offer better prospects than BFC. Can't see Karl losing face on this so I think that Thommo will be handed the chalice once Karl has got sufficient compo. This says more about the way we operate as a club than anything we do on the pitch.
I don't think this will be over until the club has been stripped bare. Disgraceful

Sorry, but to blame Karl for Appletonk wanting to leave is way out of order.
He knew what was on the table when he took the job just 2 short months ago and now he's suddenly not Appy with it ?
Sorry, but for me he's even more of a mercenary money-grabbing bar-steward than Hollowhead turned out to be and the sooner he's gone the better. I know from recent experience in my own family that when there's a cancer like Appletonk has turned out to be, you need to get rid of it quick

I do blame Karl for this mess and you can't assume anything about what or wasn't promised when Appy was appointed. Fact is he doesn't like working with Karl. Holloway also fell out with Karl. No backing would seem to be the reasons and there is no excuse for it bearing in mind what the club has earned recently. Empty promises have been made before and simply not materialised.
Remember these managers have walked. They have not been sacked. They wouldn't have come here if they were money grabbing because we simply don't pay the going rate and everyone is aware of that. They are leaving because Karl is not ambitious and doesn't value the staff that work at the club or the players. We can only guess at the promises made (if any)
Oh and Sher those boilers are bloody expensive ! Karl didn't have enough when we played Liverpool so you'll have to do a Torres until you get a few £m.

I struggle to see where Appleton is "going for the money", or even job security as Shabba Ranks (or whatever Venky's chief idiot is called) has stated that any manager will only have a short term contract. Appleton has found out how impossible Karl is to work with and his outspoken cabbage patch comments last week obviously didn't go down too well. Holloways last months in charge showed a man completely stressed out but unable to say anything due to gagging orders, and maybe trying his best to stick to his principles. I do hope Appleton comes out and says it like it is.....I think he will.
Yat again the Bloomfield PR machine shows it's inimitable eloquence at these times.
