Just how are these values reached? even with 35% discount because of the sell on he is worth a whole lot more than 4 million
LIVERPOOL FC are closing in on a £4million deal to bring Blackpool’s Tom Ince back to Anfield.
The Reds are in negotiations with the Seasiders and hope the prolific 20-year-old winger will become their first signing of the January transfer window.
Ince, who left LFC just 16 months ago for a compensation fee of £250,000, has already plundered 13 goals in the Championship so far this season.
Blackpool value Ince at around £6million but Liverpool would be able to get a significant discount as they secured a 35% sell-on clause

If Phillips was worth £6m to Saints in the summer, Ince is easily worth £10m in today's crazy transfer world! Liverpool dropped a massive Eartha Kitt selling Tom, and want him back on the cheap but with the 35% sell on clause, Karl will be getting a dose of the seasonal turkey trotters! as he might not be able to afford his new tractor with the transfer fee thats left, more bog roll Karl!

Even the beeb starting to report that they are close to talking personal terms
Oh well, think positive, might still keep him on loan till the end of the season, might get a few more loanees out of them, and we've still got the development squad chomping at the bit LOL

Adrian Kajumba of the Daily Star reckons that both Tottenham and Newcastle are planning to hijack Liverpool's January transfer window move for Thomas Ince.
It had been reported that Liverpool agreed a deal in principle with Blackpool to bring the young forward back to Merseyside in January for around £4 million, although it appears both Tottenham and Newcastle have now both tabled bids of their own.
Liverpool are still the favourites to resign the son of their former captain Paul, having agreed a fee and £25,000-a -week terms with the 20-year-old, and were hoping to confirm the deal in early January.
However, sources close to Ince claim the deal is not done and dusted yet, and the bids from Tottenham and Newcastle are sure to make things interesting.
Liverpool let Ince join Blackpool for a fee of £250,000 last year, having previously forged a part of the Reds youth set up, but his brilliant form for the Tangerines ever since has convinced Brendan Rodgers that the winger would be a good fit for his new look side.

This seems way too cheap to let him.
The chances are he will play for England in the future I think we should start the bidding at £10 mil.
Liverpool have the advantage knowing they will get 35% back or 35% of the fee where ever he goes.

I agree 10 million should be the starting price and then we should add a 35% clause as well

Its the contract situation that is devaluing him.
If he had 3 year left it wouldn't be in the press as much but it looks to me they are showing interest now to sort of say we want you now or at the end of your contract to make us sell him cheaper.
Hope that makes sense

LIVERPOOL are continuing to negotiate with Blackpool over the transfer of Tom Ince.
Seasiders boss Michael Appleton has revealed that their initial bid fell short of the Championship outfit’s valuation, but the Reds remain confident an agreement will soon be reached.
The 20-year-old winger, who has netted 13 goals in 21 league games this season, has his heart set on a return to Anfield.
Liverpool managing director Ian Ayre has been holding talks with Blackpool chairman Karl Oyston.
“As far as I’m aware I think there’s been a conversation between Karl and Liverpool regarding an offer but, as far as I’m aware, it’s way below the type of money we’d expect for someone of Tom’s talent,” said Appleton. “I think it was just an initial conversation and there was a figure used but obviously it’s way below.”
Ince is battling to overcome a slight hamstring strain in time to face Wolves tonight and Appleton was defiant when asked whether he would play his star man if passed fit.
“Without a shadow of a doubt,” he said. “I wouldn’t worry about that. And he’ll continue to play as long as we hold his registration. He’s quite a down to earth, sensible young lad anyway.
“I think having someone like his dad in his family who’s been a professional footballer himself and knows the ups and downs of the game. I wouldn’t say I’m resigned to losing him just yet though.”

Maybe he should listen to a man that has been there and worn the T-shirt
Blackpool striker Kevin Phillips has insisted that winger Thomas Ince should resist a move to the Premier League until the summer.
The 20-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool but with the possibility of spending time on the substitutes bench at Anfield, Phillips believes it would be beneficial for Ince to remain at Bloomfield Road.
Phillips told Sky Sports News Radio: "For me, if I was Tom Ince, I would want to stay at the club for the rest of the season, keep learning my trade, keep scoring goals and keep putting in performances. He'll get his move.
"More than likely, he's going to go a Premier League club and sit on the bench between now and the end of the season.
"It's a difficult one because if he goes to a big club he's going to double, treble, quadruple his wages, but he's going to be sitting on the bench most of the time. It's one of those you have to weigh up."
Ince has impressed for Blackpool this season, scoring 13 goals in 20 league appearances.

No question that he will go, but I wonder if they will immediately loan him out again. He is mega skilful but a country mile from the finished article. Prem defenders will eat him alive, he is easily brushed off the ball, drifts in and out of the game ( that reminds me of Suddick!), and needs to develop his awareness of his team mates.
Still think he would be better to stay with us till the summer, than he needs to go somewhere he will get serious coaching. That will make the difference between being remembered as a good player or a great.
