AFC Bournemouth striker Wesley Thomas has been linked with a move to Championship side Blackpool.
The striker previously worked with Blackpool manager Michael Appleton at League One neighbours Portsmouth, where Thomas scored three goals in six appearances during a 28 day loan spell.
Former AFC Bournemouth manager Paul Groves sent Thomas out on loan after the striker had scored just one goal in 22 appearances for the Cherries.
But following Eddie Howe's return to Dean Court as manager Thomas was recalled from his loan with Howe keen to take a closer look at the former Crawley forward.
His return to the Goldsands Stadium however has been hampered by a hamstring problem, which forced him out of recent games, only returning for a 20 minute cameo appearance away to Doncaster Rovers last week and was not included in the match day squad for either the Oldham or Stevenage games.
The Daily Echo have reported that Thomas has now submitted an official transfer request and is believed to be a target for Championship outfit Blackpool.

Sky Sports understands Blackpool have agreed a deal to sign Bournemouth striker Wes Thomas on loan.
Seasiders boss Michael Appleton is keen to bolster his squad before the loan deadline and he has moved for Thomas.
Thomas enjoyed a successful loan spell with Appleton at Portsmouth earlier this season, firing three goals in six games.
Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe is happy to let Thomas move on after bringing in Brett Pitman in on loan from Bristol City earlier this week.
Thomas is set to go straight into the Blackpool side to face Watford this weekend
