I think the Holloway saga had been going on way before he left and unfortunatley that had an effect on the side, hence our slump in form, but what worries me, was why they had so much time off, was this Ollie at interviews and if so where was Thommo to take training! No disrespect to Evo but why come out and say this now, once the horse has bolted, their's alot of senior pro's in that dressing room including Evo, why didn't someone have the balls to stand up and say something at the time, if this is how the squad was feeling. The players must of known that not training regular was going to have an impact in games and hence our terrible slump down the table, their must of been someone at the club that Karl could of got to take training.

Spot on, Rob, maybe that was why he fell out with BF. I do wonder if the pressure got to him so much that he had some sort of breakdown.
I guess we will never know

I guess we will never know Some of his final interviews were histrionic outpourings, with little said about blackpool and the rest of the world put to right. Fergie was quite often pilloried for never making a forward pass, but perhaps this is where he and Holloway fell out as sometimes a player with Fergie's experience knows how to control and hold a game. I wonder if Fergie will come back now Holloway has departed - or whether he fell out with Oyston over the "rot in the reserves" comments.

I don't know if any of you have been on the skysports championship page but every time they've put a picture up of Ollie at Palace and this is after his team have won, looking in to his eyes it looks as though he's a broken man and that i do not like, whether he left us or not, the guys a human being being and it seems he left with a very heavy heart. I don't know who's to blame or what happened in the time leading to his departure but what has happened has happened and i for one have no ill towards feelings against Ollie and wish him, Palace and his family all the best for the future.

I don't think it reflects particularly well on Evo, who 2 years ago was my favourite player. Not that long ago he was telling everyone how much they were behind "the Gaffer"
As my granny used to say, If you can't say something nice, shut yer gob!
Actually, Sherl, I think the club PR machine, with aid from it's lackeys, is doing a great job at destroying Ollie's reputation. However, I trust the vast majority of fans will remember he is the guy who took a team of relegation favourites and got us to the Premier League

Thats what I was hinting at yeold that there seems to be some sort of plan to destroy his reputation and in some sense his legacy. end of the day he wanted to leave and could not take us any further for what ever the reason, But he led us on a fantastic journey for 3 years and i would never swap it for the world.
Personally i think the failure to get dobbie and DJ was the final straw with Ian as for EVO well you made a rod for your own back now all pool fans will expect 100% improvement and a defense that is tighter than self locking nut

Sorry, mate, your hint was too subtle for me, you know you've got to hit me over the head with a bit of four by two to get my attention LOL

Bit naive of Evo really thats all. In an attempt to support the new manager he ended up slagging off the old one....... and thats what the press picked up on. lesson learnt I hope but I really believe it was not intentional. Ask him if Ollie was the best manager in his career so far and the answer would be yes. But thats not a story
