Now its a long shot but wonder what would happen if he turned them down?
Could he come back? personally I don't think he could as the damage would be to much how would the players and fans react to a want away manager and he would have no hope with Karl ever again.
Thoughts?

Strange how supporting your club can keep you awake at night The more I think about it the more annoyed I get at both Karl and Ian, Had it been Bolton or Blackburn I could accept it better but Palace! And while we all want to be near our families, I hate that age old excuse managers use. His girls live in London and have Jobs and a life of there own they don't even live at his other home so why suddenly is it a issue.. maybe I'm just being bitter after all 4 weeks ago a house was bought in lytham and you don't do that if you are planning on leaving the next month. And horror no press release from the club even saying he is talking to palace its Just so god dam annoying

Morning, Sherl, agree with every word of that. I'm helping at a charity Firework do in Rydal tonight ( POTG) ( pyrotechnics operator ) and if it comes out officially today that he has gone, my "In Ollie, we trust" t shirt is going on the Bonfire. Empty gesture, I know, but, whatever

At first I thought he was just bluffing (so to speak) to get Karl to panic into realizing that things could be worse but now I think it is all over.
I don't think Ollie does want away I think he wants a bit of ambition/backing from Karl.

I think he tried to call Karls bluff but has now backed himself into a corner

I think you're right, I think they were both playing brinksmanship. The problem with that is someone has to back down, neither would, so Ollie has blown the best chance he ever had of becoming the next SAF or Wenger in terms of longevity. (Or the QPR job when Hughes gets potted)

Exactly what I think. Karl is a not a bad poker player.
I hope he has the nerve to turn Palace down and stay

Karl cheats at poker that I can confirm lol 12hr rescue package from Karl anybody. but if the qpr job came up and he was considered nothing would stop him.
The only way for Karl and ollie to rescue this is for Karl to get him to sign a 3 year contract with a big get out clause of a million plus. Put now if ollie signed that don't expect any more money for players because not only will the treasure chest get locked, Karl will eat the Key
