THE drum at Bloomfield Road may get on the nerves of some at Bloomfield Road, but not Ian Holloway. In fact, the Pool boss wants it to be even louder.
Holloway criticised some Seasiders fans after the defeat by Charlton, claiming they were negative. But it was a totally different story against Forest on Tuesday night.
“I thought the crowd were brilliant,” he said. “I’d like to hear ‘This is the best trip’ a bit more, and I’d like to hear Hoggy on his drum a bit more.
“He’s been very quiet lately. What’s up with him? The fans helped so much on Tuesday. They got us back into the game.
“The crowd weren’t nervous as they saw we were trying our best to have a go.”
The full Pool squad was back in training today after a day off, though a number of first-team players were in action for the club’s Development Squad yesterday.
Angel Martinez, Kirk Broadfoot, Nouha Dicko and Chris Basham featured for the otherwise young side which lost 2-1 to a Nike Elite Squad made up of unattached talent. Gerardo Bruna got Pool’s goal.
