When I heard that Ollie was up for the award I thought that for once SPOTY had actually looked at sport and coaching,in the end it was only so they could show him in the audience.
I agree a bloody disgrace,if they where not going to give it to Ollie they should have at least given it to a coach.
Mrs bloody Doubtfire, exactly what did he coach?
Havn't watched the bloody thing for years and after tonight's sycophantic spew fest I wont be watching it again.

"sycophantic spew fest " Love it, you have a way with the English language Didn't actually listen to any of it, had it on the laptop with the sound off until the "coach" bit, after that, turned it off in disgust. Bah Humbug

Sorry to Though keep going on about this, but below is a direct quote from the BBC site this morning " Though not strictly a coach, Montgomerie is credited with getting the best out of his team against the powerful American outfit in Wales." So even the beeb admit he isn't a coach. Couldn't make it up could you. You can imagine the meeting. Right, who do we like, oh yeh, golfers did well in the Ryder Cup, mmmm can't see an award we can give them, I know, give Monty the coach award, no one will notice.
