Blackpool manager Ian Holloway believes there should be a winter break in English football, with Boxing Day fixtures the first to go.
Holloway is preparing for a busy schedule over the next month as the Tangerines have five Premier League games in December and visit Manchester City on New Year's Day.
Pool host Liverpool on Boxing Day, when there is traditionally a full programme of fixtures in England.
But Holloway reckons players and fans would be glad if that date was cut from the Christmas schedule. Crazy
"What I find hard to understand is we are playing five or six games in one month. What is that all about?" he said.
"A winter break? That would be lovely. As a member of the British public, I would not want to go out on Boxing Day in the freezing cold.
"I would rather stay at home with my family and watch a film. Family is what it is all about.
"Travelling the length and breadth of the country, it's crazy. We should stay at home and have some turkey."

Whats this....something I disagree with Ollie about!
If there is one fixture a year I love its the Boxing day one,by the time bloody christmas day is over I'm so ready to go to a game. For me its the ONLY good thing about the "festive" season. My next favourite game is the New year one, still pissed from the Real midwinter knees up stagger to the game,Fantastic. If you want a winter break,I dont by the way,Start it after that, take away those two games and I struggle to think of a good reason to put up with bloody xmas <bahhumbugsmiley>
