Blackpool club captain Jason Euell has described playing for Tangerines manager Ian Holloway as “a pleasure”.
The 33 year-old has made just one Premier League start for the Seasiders side this season but his top-flight experience has seen him entrusted by Holloway in the role as club captain during the Bloomfield Road club’s impressive start to the season.
Speaking exclusively to Sport.co.uk, Euell admitted that he didn’t know much about Holloway prior to joining Blackpool but that working with him has been “a breath of fresh air”.
He said: “I didn’t really know too much about the manager before I originally met him. “
“I think I played against him for Southampton and I’d seen him being interviewed on TV but, once I got the phone call around mid-July last year when he was interesting in signing me, it was like a breath of fresh air.
“I’d had two years at Southampton and it was a new challenge.
“[In terms of] what we spoke about then and how it’s been since, it’s been a pleasure working with him, really.”
