Was pleased to read today that they are considering placing the ark royal on the Thames as a helicopter port, and only ex and disabled personnel will be employed around 150 in total, and that it would even make a profit and pay for itself.
while i know some sensitive electrical equipment needs to be removed, i am somewhat dismayed that we are going to spend 50 million pounds to carry out this process!!!
I am sure their must be another means of securing and moth balling the old girl, then the 50 million could be used to help the service personnel returning or injured and retiring from the forces.
come on whitehall stop being stupid and use some common sense.

I see they plan to put it near to the Royal group of docks on the Thames ideal spot for the city ty**CENSORED**s for their helicopters. As a working heliport/museum would like to think they would display some of our great aircraft over the ages similar to the Intrepid in New York and have it as a permanent home not just for the London Olympics.
Ps surely the word t y c o o n s isn't a censored word, what is this world coming to.

its seems to have a bug in the system as it has picked out the 3 letters after the letter c in ty c o o n s to make a four letter word
