Just wondered how many of you have or have not gone up the tower and if you have how old you were and your memories of that experience. Not sure how old I was probably about 8 or 9 and more recently last summer took grand daughter up there still a magnificant experience.

Never done it. I remember my Nan taking us to the Tower Zoo ( remember that, long before the zoo ot the back of the Park), peeping in the Ballroom, but it was too windy to go up the Tower ( or so she said). Never got round to it since, daft isn't it?

Of all the touristy places in town, the Tower is my favourite. I think the old buildng's genuinely stunning and the ballroom is the heart and soul of Blackpool. I can quite happily sit in there, pint in hand, listening to the Wurlitzer and lose myself for a couple of hours. Went up the tower when I was a kid and been up there since with my three year old son, who quite happily dances and sprawls across the Walk of Faith. I hope the new owners don't destroy it.

Am 30 and have never been in the Tower building or been up the tower. Just never fancied it.

I went as a kid and also went up last year, these days you have to pay for the whole tower experience, which is worth it in my opinion, whereas in the past I think you could just pay for the tower itself.

Lou, I thought the circus was worth the admission price alone last year.

Went with Brownies and school a couple of years ago, went up to the top with Brownies and did walk of faith, but with school is was just the touristy stuff, aquarium which I believe is no longer there, jungle jims ,which was heaving and exceedingly hot, and of course the circus, which everybody fully enjoyed.Wondering what it will be like when all improvements will have been completed. xx
