Though pleased we dont have to worry about extra games and an early start it would appear, that somehow unrelated to bookings and sendings off Fulham got the spot....Prem conspiracy me thinks. www.premierleague.com/page/FairPlayTableAnyway f em

That could be an omen for next year Yeni and yes the drive through the old Yugoslavia was very pretty, full of old world charm and very cheap at the time.

Was a lovely country and what's there now, is still a great place for a hol but now expensive to get to: Porec, Rovinj, Zadar, Split, Pag, the 'Lakes',etc. YL.

To be honest my last visit was with the wife about 86/87. from Austrian border at VILLACH a few miles to Lake Bled and the stunning mountain views, stayed a f ew days then onto Porec then what is now Croatia to RIJEKA, the buildings of Italian design and then south along the coast towards Split. Have only travelled there by road, never flown, from Kent, just one overnight stop in Southern Germany and your there 2nd afternoon. It was, in the countryside like stepping back in time and one of our favourite European countries.
