Vulcan was today, a few minutes ago.
Awesome is an oft used word, but correct to describe this plane. Combine it's shape, size and the Lakeland Fells and Lakes, and it shows it's capability to perfection, low level quiet, puts the afterburners on and the earth moves. Easily the star of the show.
Surely such a piece of engineering beauty can be saved for posterity

Red Arrows scheduled for 17.00, maybe you'll get a fly past in the Fylde?

If any of you are taking in the Pool V Brighton match on 20 AUG, the Brighton airshow will be on that day with the Vulcan making an appearance.

We were on the end of the North pier around 5, Red Arrows flew very fast and very low almost directly above us.

They were heading our way, Lou. We watched from Adelaide hill just north of Bowness, what a fabulous display. So often it has been a short low version because of the weather, today was wall to wall blue skies, very impressive. Have seen them many times ( didn't they used to fly Hunters?), but today, with the fells and lake, was the best

They did indeed YeOlde, hunters ranging from 5 to 22 in formation, as the Red Arrows, for some years the Black Arrows and also the Blue Arrows.
