Just noticed on sky sports that Palace have had a bid turned down for a guy called Danny Ings, 19 year old striker from Bounemouth who want £1m+ according to their chairman. He has scored 7 goals from 21 starts (league 1) with his first league goal last February and now Man City, Fulham and several other clubs are after him. It just brings home to me how maddening the DJ saga has been, with him going for £1.25m and with all the goals he has scored and 13 of them in the Premiership.
Ok, will take my pills and calm down.

In the end, Whit, no matter how much KO gets the blame, I would put money on DJ's agent insisting on a low release clause to let him move on. Don't forget his bad experiences with his previous clubs, and his late start.
The money some of theses kids are wanted for, with no track record, is becoming obscene. Remember the NI lads we looked at, completely unrealistic expectations when they had proved precisely nothing.
I think this is the real damage done by all the money in football, poo loads of money paid to very ordinary players.

From ollies interview when he signed because we have in everybody's contract that if you get relegated your wage goes down, his agent insisted that the release clause was put in before he would sign. bet you anymoney its also in his new contract at QPR

He will try to inforce it. But no body will want to know. Be honest, will we want him back in the prem with us, after his (dare I say desertion). In my defence I loved him as a Pool player, but he has left us. Now I could not care less about him.
