I know this is old news but I've just got back from a trip and caught up with whats been going on. Its really sad that a rather too vocal element of our fans seem to think they have a right to get personal with KO. I would love to know what gives them this right and what experience they have with building a squad and negotiating player contracts. It just beggars belief. Success is clearly a double edged sword but I really hope our club does not degenerate into a load of gobsh*ts who go home early and slag off everything that goes on at Bloomers. I'll be writing to Karl and Ollie and suggest they have a look on here. Hope someone at AVFTT has the nuts to apologise.

You are right, and I think even most avftt posters are embarrassed and angry, there have been a few well supported threads saying something similar.
The usual vocal tiny minority try to impose their views on the quiet majority, what is really sad is that some of them genuinely cannot tell an opinion from a fact, and are getting really upset that others cannot see that they are right. The worry is that Ollie sees this trash, and the effect it will have on his moral if he doesn't understand, as we do, that it is a very small number.

took a look the other day, but i can not be bothered reading through it anymore. hope Ian rams it down their throat when a couple of loan players come in.
what i found more disgusting was the way the so called fans slagged boggy off and the poor guy has not even kicked a ball. simple policy if they are good enough for ollie they are more than dam well good enough for the fans.

AVFTT is just a waste of space the people who post on the site would have been modded off 606 or any other site.

Now that Ollie has come clean and admitted he does read what is said on internet forums I hope he can see through those so called, "supporters" on AVFTT. As has been said, sometimes it is the few who make the most noise. I have purposely kept off AVFTT because I know that I bite so easily when somebody criticises our beloved club. Whether it be the players, manager or directors I will fiercely defend them while they are BFC against everything that is thrown at them from insiders or outsiders. (The only exception being the Club Secretary, Matt Williams but thats another story.) I may be deluded in my passionate defence at all costs but to my mind all I do is balance up the bias. Some people attack us for no reason so I defend us for no other reason than I love my club. I am glad to see pikeypete is thinking of writing to Ollie because in my experience he does read them. I have written to him a few times on different things and once wrote about the stick Big Ben Burgess was getting from a few "fans" and Ollie publicly had a go about it. I told him that the minority sometimes shout louder than the majority and he should remember that. He mentioned to the press that he had had letters about BBB and had showed them to him to cheer him up and came out with the actual words that I had written so he does listen and really should remember that now. One of the problems also is that traditionally the boo boys have their seats in the West Stand near the dug out. They always have as far back as I can remember and this is what Ollie hears quite a lot. They deliberately choose these seats to have a go when they can. They havnt had much ammunition over the past couple of seasons so they grab the slightest thing to have a go at. The criticism and expectation is definitely getting progressively worse all round in football but I think that over the last few years peoples expectations in most things in life have become unrealistic to what I was brought up with anyway. I shudder to think what will happen when we do have a bad season. I dont know whether I am getting more sensitive in my old age but I do seem to spend a lot of the game hoping that nothing happens in the game to set certain fans off with unreasonable comments about players so I dont get involved defending them. A bit unreasonable on my part really I suppose. Then my pet hate, booing at half time or at the end of a game. I think the last time I heard this though was against Palace in the promotion year on the day they opened the South Stand. But why? Oh yeah, I bought a ticket so I can do what I want is the usual retort when I ask why. Sheesh! Think I'm waffling so time to go. Roll on Saturday, cant wait. PS. And if you read this Ollie, remember most fans bleed Tangerine and detest the boo boys. PPS If you do read this Ollie make sure you read Ye Oldes writings on the Sir Ian of Holloway thread, you'll love it. The build up to Wembley was epic as were these sagas. I am definitely waffling. UP THE POOL

I have written to Karl and asked him to pass my comments to Ollie (well it saves a stamp). Don't know if I'll get a reply but if I do I'll let you know. Love this forum. Always glad to know where the true fans are. Cheers.
