Many of you on here who were also on '606' will remember 'The Flying Plumber' (with fondness?) from down the road, and I believe, his perplexity with Blackpool's “The Flying Vicar” (Father Damian Feeney) who moved down south, but still comes back to these shores for 'Pool's' home games, and whom I 'introduced' to (Plumbs) on that board. Who will forget my (Plumbs won't!) - “Plumbs, the 'Flying Vicar' is coming to get you.... Pool are ................. (606 flyhi)... Bless.” …..........etc., etc., etc. Looking at today's 'Gazette', I now see we have a " Flying Instructor" to go along with those two other 'Flyers' - Flt. Lt. Dave Flynn, presently based at RAF Benson, has just recorded his 3,000th flying hour on Puma helicopters, and is now teaching other pilots how to handle that 'chopper'. He was fortunate enough to watch the 'Pool in the Prem last season, and regularly gets up north to see them again. YL.
