They are going to go for our throats at every chance they get. But a few things that stand out as being fishy or just stupid.
first of all they have slashed the price of the jet by a third which means it cost more to build than they are selling them for surely this is against the EU rules.
It costs around 5 million pounds a year to keep one Rafael in the air compared to 2 million for euro fighter.
If your the pilot and have to eject good look as it has a inherent problem with the seat and parachute assembly which still has not been fixed
But it has one big advantage it is carrier friendly where the typhoon sadly is in capable of carrier service and it has 20 years service record behind it
oh and one more thing if you go super sonic in the Rafael the paint fails off lol

I thought we had a "special relationship" with India, goes back a long time, I am sure there is a lot more to this than meets the eye and anyway when have the French ever bothered about EU laws.

True but i noticed Cameron failed to mention that we are also having to consider buying the bloody thing for our new carrier, with a order like that by the time comes round for us taking delivery of them we will need another new carrier.
Considering Dassault where going to pull the plug on the thing back in december and halt all production i find it strange that they have gone for a 20 year old plane, but like i said it has a track record where as ours does not and has not seen any real combat as we are still heavily using the tornado which is being held together by blue peter double sided sticky tape!!!

while i am still in a rage about this consider the following which was a report given to the UAE when test where run for them about which jets to buy
The Industrial and Economic Benefits of Eurofighter Typhoon
"Eurofighter has provided a ranking of rival aircraft in terms of cost and combat effectiveness.
This ranking shows that for similar cost, Typhoon is more combat effective than Rafale, JSF, F-15E and F/A-18E;
The F-16 and Su-35 are cheaper but considerably less capable; and only the F/A-22 is superior to Typhoon on combat performance, but at considerably higher cost.
In simulated combat against a Su-35, the F-22 shoots down 10 for every one of its own losses.
Eurofighter just under half (some 4.5 Su-35s for every Typhoon)
and Rafale was last with lost one for one."

In my day YeOlde they had Sabre, (US), & Canberra bomber,
Nowdays the F16 and French Mirage.
As Sher said only the F-22 is faster at 1.7m than the Typhoon at 1.5m but has some very awesome weaponary and can take an enemy plane out from 50miles distant. A lot more expensive than the typhoon too.
