I don't think some of the guys on here understand AVFTT, it has a very large fan base of several thousand, many of them very long term season ticket holders, some not missing a Blackpool match home or away for many years, some who joined having seen Pool play for just a few years and some who are not Blackpool fans at all. Because of the mix, although some subjects are taken seriously and some are taken in jest, you have to have a sense of humour at times particularly when those disguised as Pool fans have a pop at the more serious posters. It's not unlike politics in a way, we might follow one party or another but at the end of the day we want what is best for the country, just as fans of the club want what is best for the Pool. What puzzles me is that people who constantloy slag of AVFTT even bother to look on there, they must have much too much time on their hands, why bother to loook at something that you know will not be of any interest to you. When it comes to Blackpool, I just love the town and the team, whovever happens to be playing, if we lose it is not the end of life, just a dissapointment to get over in a short time, who runs it or how it is run is nowt to do with me just want to see the club do as best it can, that is all.

I don't think anyone's "having a pop" at AVFTT here, Whit !! Can't speak for Pete, but I'm not at AVFTT, I'm with them at the pomposity of some of the chavs from south Tykeland who think they're still a Massive club

I go on and read sometimes christ i use to buy the fanzine in the days before web forums, everybody has a right to their own view but it amazes me that so many want to run the club and spend the money lol
Its become a cult with some of them at the end of the day we have a club a ground and are not in debt (a new training ground would be nice hint hint Karl)
as for how much a player costs i really don't care if its a pound or a few million at the end of the day we have a good size squad and lots of options and no matter how much we pay a player i can tell you the wage bill is 50% more than last time in the championship so we are going in the right direction slowly but surely.
As for those players that refuse to join at the last min because of personal terms or agents fees, yes its bloody annoying but then again they probably not the sort of player we want at the club if the main concern is money money. and this is what annoys me most about AVFTT is some posters slag players off before they have even kicked a ball in tangerine.

The point you make re the players who havn't yet played for us is very valid, you can't judge a book by it's cover. Look at some our first team, look at some who joined us just a few seasons ago and how they went from being unknowns to star players. Real Pool fans know from our history that unknowns have made it here, the disguised fans are just out to cause grief.
