Of course nobody will be leaving the country until the end of the season, but when you do, a suggestion on eating out in Brugges, assuming we've done the obligatory mayo& frites. It is tempting to follow the tourist horde and eat in the restaurants immediately off the main square. I tried a 'Greek' in the Sukiennice in Krakow one time, and the report on me said... " Eat your heart out, Lloyd Grossman, (Yenilira) damns forever the cruisine of Krakow" !! ...all because I'd said that .."..even though it was fairly cheap and the portions were hugh, the food itself was ...dire".
