Just suppose for one minute,( we can all dream), that money were no object and to strengthen the squad we could have bought in January one Premiership player and been able to fund his wages, who would you have chosen. Would you have gone for a GK such as Joe Hart or a Striker such as Tevez or Van Persie, or a defender, or midfielder. I appreciate this is pie in the sky but with little else to do before the next big game, just wondered who other fans would have dreamt of.

Whit - I already thought 'money was no object' considering we've just taken in two lots of £40million? since the season began?
I've asked this question on here before, but have had to find out from other sources, which has taken some off my working day, - because I didn't get a reply on here.
How much have we received from PL/Sky, etc. since August? and Where is all that money?
As to the OP Question: Not too particular who we got in, but at a reasonable cost (transfer fee + wages) but ones who would improve the squad and not just add to the numbers. Another goalkeeper - I referred to one on a previous post that was on a free from Europe and wouldn't cost much - another midfielder?, a striker of proven ability, and possibly a defender.

Great question annd really difficult to answer.
Our strength is out team, and so any highly paid prima donna will disrupt that in any position. If pushed, I'd go for Bale.

Yeni I could be wrong but I believe the £90 mill is made up of £40 mill paid out in bits during the season A third in August a third at Christmas and the rest based on where you finish at the end of the season. The rest is four seasons of parachute payments if you go down. So based on that we have so far received roughly £26.5 mill. I agree its a bucket load of cash but a long way short of the £90mill figure that is widely used. As for where it is,well we can account for some of it,the £5 mill promotion bonus (I know Val was rumoured to be paying that) but as he's a banker you cant believe a word he says.Transfer fees in the summer account for a few more mill though as most of these figures vary wildly its hard to say how much exactly. Building the new stand and the rest of the ground works, wages,it all adds up. Personally though I would like to see us stay in this division I dont think that blowing the lot is in the best interests of the club. As for the original question Cesc Fabregas.A midfield of him Charlie and Vaughny, gives me a hard on just thinking about it!!!!!

After last night gotta be Whilshere. A star in the making. I think he would fit into our system quite well and as a young lad might enjoy the Blackpool nightlife. 10k a week should be enough to tempt him

Personally I'd go for Van De Saar......we can score goals against anybody with who we've got but keeping them out at our end is another story! I think Van De Saar is currently the best keeper in the premiership and would would make a real difference.
