Why can this little geezer from Bristol speak and write so powerfully?
Sat here with a little tear, took me years to deal with something similar.

We all deal with death in various ways, depression, anger, sorrow and in some cases relief that death has fianally come. We are no more than ships that pass in the night, our lives so short in the timespan of the big picture and yet in life we argue, fight sometimes not realising we hurt one another by what we say and by our actions. The greatest sorrow is not being able to say goodbye, someone you love says cheerrio some time of the day, just a normal day and then out of the blue an accident, a sudden fatal illness and they have gone and the guilt you feel for not being able to say a goodbye, I love you or something similar. The loved one who has that long drawn out illness, who you see fade away over the weeks and months in so much pain that you wish in the morning their life has finally ebbed away. The guilt you feel having moved away to the other part of the world and a close relative dies rather suddenley, you havn't had the chance to say a thankyou or goodbye. Then there are some who believe that loved ones who have passed on, are not that far away and see and hear what is going on. Memories are always there and the last line of a poem sums it up for me, "And if you shall remember me, I will never have gone"

Great insight into a family man that has created another family here at BFC. I honestly feel we are so lucky to have a manager with such honest down to earth principles, passion and spirit. Some of the snipers on 606 should read this.
