Very quiet here today, everyone in , worn out, pissed off, or what? Loved Ollie's clip on the match report, as usual, he is the only Prem manager to take any responsibilty. Mind you, on another place, he is getting slagged off for going defensive. Probably the same people who were demanding that he park the bus on AVFTT. I just had a reality check this morning. It was the beeb news, and we were on it, as a Premier League team, little old Blackpool. I think many of us have lost our joy at getting unexpectedly promoted, and are beginning to expect to win. I did think the team was so much better yesterday, quick passing, attacking with intent, and that should not be forgotten with the disasterous attempt to park a bus. Great to see young Puncheon's first goal, Charlie using his head ( not seen too many times before), and, if I'm honest, Saha was just a different class. So onwards and upwards, My Tangerines, Baggies pressed the panic button this morning, we're still here, still 4 points above relegation, and still bleed Tangerine blood. In Ollie, we trust

That's what I was thinking when I commented on the lack of activity this morning, Ye O., around 9:45 in 'Houston' thread.
I don't think anyone on this board, being realists one and all, would disagree with you -
* we never expected to come this far * we are still living the (Tangerine) Dream, regardless * onward and upward as you say - Bring on the Villa. #ok#

Sorry olde I'v been giving yesterdays result a bit of thought. Some things in life are bad They can really make you mad Other things just make you swear and curse When you're chewing on life's gristle Don't grumble, give a whistle And this'll help things turn out for the best And... In the imortal words of Douglas AdamsDont PanicI dont think I can add anything to the font of human knowledge on the debate at the moment.

They made me laugh April, remember when Burridge in goal once came for a corner and went to punch the ball and caught an opposing forward in the face instead and laid him out.

Sir Harry taught him everything. Remember Budgie buying a watch for someone behind the goal at the Kop end as Budgie had kept asking "how long to go"

Remember him walking round the box on his hands when warming up, and showing off his clog fighting scars. One tough little goalie

Used to love the way Sir Harry came onto the pitch at the start of games.......the Kop chanting, "Sir Harry Thompson, (clap, clap, clap, clap, clap) Sir Harry Thompson, (clap, clap, clap, clap, clap), etc.", until he reached the penalty spot at the Kop end and then going down on one knee with his arms outstreched to recieve the dubbing of the fans. Magic moments one and all!

Here you go folks a video of budgie when he was player manager at Blyth Spartans 15th November 1997 and they played us at bloomers in the FA Cup and we finally won 4-3
Just watch his team talk before the match and at half time, just 100% classic and the game footage aint to bad either

Great Video - he looks the same as I remember him when watching from the old South Stand - when they used to let us little 'uns sit on the low front wall!
