Mr Barns has been speaking his mind now.
John Barnes: Swansea Can Do Better Than Blackpool
Former England and Liverpool winger John Barnes is the latest admirer of Swansea City's impressive passing style of football.
Gary Speed, Kevin Keegan along with a number of Championship managers have complimented Swansea's style under Brendan Rodgers this season and John Barnes believes we have enough quality to not only win promotion to the Premier League, but to better Blackpool's superb achievements this year in the top flight.
John Barnes said:
'Swansea are an excellent side to watch and they play some fantastic football,'
'It's a very difficult league to get out of, but Swansea will have big aspirations of getting up.
'A lot of clubs in the Championship have ambitions of going up.
'But Blackpool got in the Premier League on a shoestring budget last year and look at how they have done.
'In my opinion, Swansea would do an even better job in the Premier League. They certainly have a better chance.
'I expect them to at least be in the play-offs, but it wouldn't be a surprise at all if they finished in the top two.
'If I had to put money on it, I'd back them to go up because of the form they are in.'
Moral of the story dear John is that maybe if you had stopped putting money on things you would still have some !! ;D ;D ;D ;D
