Pete, unfortunatley recovery from a stroke can be a slow process, but many make a good recovery given time, lets hope he does and for that matter anyone else too. Learning to speak again is an odd situation but therapists bring stroke patients along slowly but surely . You know the word but can't say it, it's all very frustrating at times but he will get there in the end.

When you read about Parky and his family and how much courage they have all shown it puts everything in life into perspective.
I was cursing at the remote control for the telly last night because it wouldnt "obey" properly due to a failing battery. How sad am I when all this heartache is going on around me.
Hopefully things are now on the up for them all.

Hopefully good news, and hopefully they draw strength from the enormous support from so many folk across North Lancashire.
