"Southern really got into it, putting in his best performance for many a year" yes that really is a quote from Ted's match report.
So on a morning when I really feel like having a good old rant Ted goes and cheers me up
But I wont let that stop me, having had to suffer being patted on the head for 90 mins by the sky commentary team while looking at empty seats in the shed that with about ten minutes to go started to get more and more!!!!!
I'm as mad as hell and wholeheartedly backup what April said in his post, what is wrong here?
It's now official the club would rather have empty seats than let me get a ticket for one game, and there are a lot of plastic wankers turning up at Bloomers these days.Nothing we can do about either though which is the bit that's really doing my head in.
If it wasnt for my love of Ollie and the players and all things Tangerine I think I would be packing my bags and walking away.
Which is the point I cant,Im stuck with having to put up with this for as long as we in this division.
Which on last night's performance I feel will be for at least another season (talk about bitter sweet)
3-1 sounds like a thumping but I really felt until the very dodgy pen that there was still every chance we could get something out of the game.Ollie changing things around looked to be a master stroke. The five across midfield with Carney and Puncheon joining up with Beattie whenever they got the chance really looked like it was working .
Carney in particular looked a lot more comfortable playing left midfield rather than left back, and Reid seemed a lot more composed with Gnashers doing the donkey work and thus freeing him to link with Vaughny ,and Puncheon seems to be getting the hang of his role on the right so all positives.
The back four, well after getting over the of no Cathy and that Crainey was back I felt they all played well with Baps my mom.I'm running out of superlatives to describe how much I think he is a valuable member of the squad so far this season he has played left back right back and centre half and has been excellent in all three positions. When you think that last night he was facing Drogba and Torres and neither got a sniff was just wonderful to behold.Evo, well he was Evo,a rock.
The full backs both did well with Crainey really showing us what we have been missing, think some people really need to look at the comments they made about him earlier in the season and say sorry I was wrong. After a mare against Wolves Eardley was back at it,strange but I wonder if its a case of he needs more time to recover from games as he always seems to be better after he's had a week to recover.
Kingson was excellent until he got hurt and I'm sure if he hadn't been crocked he would have saved the third one,bit of a worry though as with only Halstead, who in fairness didn't do anything wrong the only other fit keeper you have to hope the nearly 2 weeks!! to the next game are enough for him to get over it.
Beattie, umm well its a pretty thankless task playing up front on your own and for long periods he really was on his own as the midfield was a bit busy and didnt get up in support, the jury is still out but I'm not going to judge him on last night lets see what happens t'rovers.
disappointed,yes,downhearted definitely no.
Pissed off with the suits? absafuckinglutely
Angry at the early leavers?with bloody knobs on
Happy to be a Tangerine?Always
