Ok the morning after the night before.
Well gutted is still the feeling but now feel able to be a bit more even about things.
Well done Birmingham, they are a big tough side and on the evidence of last night one of the better sides in the league.I still feel 1-1 would have been a fairer result but hey ho we have had our bits of luck thus far and last night it just ran out.
Who played well?surprising considering we let in two goals I say the back four again,Evo has turned into a beast,I'v no idea what Ollie is feeding him but I wouldn't mind a bowl full.Cathy was solid again as was Crainey but for me and my MOM was Eardley he got up and down the right all night and on another day could have scored as well.
The midfield, well dont know if it was Brums tactics or just an off night but we didnt seem to be able to get our passing going.Vaughny again was the pick for me though Charlie did get going a bit more second half, definitely better when he plays the "Gerrard" role as he did second half.GTF looked tired to me not his usual enery and without that he can look a bit ordinary.
Forwards, well to those who have been saying Matty should start I think last night was your answer and for me the answer is no,for the first half hour he buzzed about looking the player we all know he can become but after that he seemed to run out of steam and I was very surprised he came out second half. He's still young and at prem level against a very good back four his rawness seemed to show.
Reg needs a rest, just couldnt get going I feel and is one of many I think should be putting their feet up saturday.
DJ,took his goal well from a good header back from GTF(probably the best thing he did all night)but also looked a bit like the fizz had gone out of him.
The subs,I'll say no more than I feel they need match time, though it does show how when we are looking to go for the winner the bench is a bit thin of strikers.Lets hope Ollie can make that point to Karl and we can bring in a couple.
Now the moan.
Stood in the queue trying to get into the ground I was struck by the fact that it would apear that not one thing has been done to improve the access and facilities for the patrons of the shed since the start of the season.Four cramped little entrances stuffed down a back alley, cramped shitty toilets, and the p.a.what a load of cheep crap,it felt like being back stage at a fairgound(a very cheap fairground at that) couldnt tell you about the beer and pies as we would have needed a 1/2 hour half time to stand any chance to get any.
That is nothing though compared to the patrons themselves. It was more like being at church ,no sorry correction it was more like a morgue than at a football match,so much so I spent most of my evening telling people to stop fucking moaning and at one point was prompted to ask if I was in the wrong end!!It was an atmosphere free zone one of the worst I can remember at Bloomers and trust me I can remember some bad ones!
The rest of the ground didnt seem much better I dont know if its the distance from the other stands or what but from where I sat (yes I did get asked to sit down by the vultures behind me) even when we scored "Glad all over"was from where I was the worst rendition I'v heard.I will be interested to hear from residents of the other stands to find out if it was just me?
Sorry to go on but trust me I have held back from really going for it! Would you all please join me in a chorus of.......
Stop fucking moaning at the Players and learn to sing.
I feel better for that.
Bring on Liverpool (dont give a toss about Southampton)
Up the Pool
