Found this on the lincoln city web site expect a rehash of this in tomorrows gazette no doubt...
Blackpool boss in transfer Bonanza as Adams disapears in summer
Charlie Adams will join Manchester United as soon as the transfer window opens in what is known to be a done deal at Bloomfield Road.
Our source has also revealed that Sir Alex moved as Tottenham Hotspur's 11th hour deal stalled. The United boss knows he needs to rebuild his midfield and add a forward.
Meanwhile Tangerines' boss Ian Holloway, is set for a £30 million war chest in the summer, with almost £20 million coming from Adams alone.

For Blackpool to get £20 Million in a transfer kitty from CA, we would have to sell him for nearly £35 Million as, CA gets 20% of any transfer so do Rangers and IH gets around 3-5%.
I love CA but he is not a £35 Mill player, even more so that he could leave on a free at the end of next season.

There's a glimmer of truth in what you say, True, but from what I've heard and read, there are varations on that scenario - (apart from what 'Wee Ollie' gets as his rake off [2.5%?] of whatever fee any 'Pool player is transferred for)
(1) Rangers get 20% of any sell-on fee for Charlie.
(2) Charlie gets 20% of any sell-on fee.
(3) Both Rangers and Charlie get 20% each of any sell-on fee.
(4) Rangers get 10% of any sell-on fee.
(5) Rangers receive 10% on any sell-on over £500,000.
(6) Rangers receive 5% of anything over what we paid for CA .
(7) There is no sell-on clause.
Two things on points 1 and 3: Any monies that Rangers get goes straight into the Bank (they've got a few debts, remember) or to HMRC. though there's some questions on the validity of that figure (20). I can't see the second option, and the third is pretty implausible.
5 is a possibility, but my guess is for 6, as this is what I heard from Scotland, with #7 being doubtful.
But we have to ask ourselves - and all those who have bandied those figures about the country:
What club, in all truthfulness, divulges any facts and figures of the nitty-gritty of any transfer transaction? That's the truth of the matter - no club ever makes such aspects of transfer dealings public knowledge. It's all conjecture amongst fans.
