Despite ending up on the losing side this afternoon against Brazil, there's no shortage of football folk that know and has a good word for our midfielder:
Take the example of Brazilian superstar David Luiz of Chelsea, who admits he knows little or nothing about Scotland. But he does know about Charlie despite never having played against him. "He is one of the few Scottish players I know about" says Luiz "...but I saw him score a great goal against Blackburn last week ...we will have to watch (him) very carefully (at the Emirates) .... he obviously has great technique."
Walter Smith is another, with him being slightly envious of Craig Levein's squads in comparison to those who were available to him, and is impressed with a certain "creative midfielder". One Charles Adam.
Another ex-Scotland and Man. Unt. manager, 83-year old Tommy Docherty (remember him?) is quoted as saying - "...and I really rate Charlie Adam....no one else really excites me."
I'm sure there's plenty more.......

Yes, that's the one thing I was worried about this week - bugger any results - which are not as important as having a full squad available for next month's matches home and away.. hoping no one comes back from the games with any sort of injury.....
