DJ Campbell has vowed to repay Blackpool after his moment of madness against Wolves forced him to spend a frustrating six weeks on the sidelines through suspension.
DJ Campbell saw red after clashing with Richard Stearman
Campbell was hit with a three-match ban for angrily pushing Wolves defender Richard Stearman in the Seasiders' dismal 4-0 Premier League defeat at Molineux on February 26.
The period since has included two blank weekends due to Blackpool's early exit from the FA Cup and also a host of international fixtures, meaning the 29-year-old has had a long time to reflect on his dismissal.
Campbell, who has scored nine goals this term, is now anxious to put it right as Tangerines host Arsenal on Sunday.
He told the club's website: "The last six weeks have been hell for me, if I'm honest. When I'm not playing football, it's not a good thing. I need to be playing.
"Obviously I regret it. I get kicked all the time but I don't know why I reacted in that way. I play with a lot of passion and want to win and sometimes you let things get the better of you.
"I don't think I slept properly for two or three days after I was sent off. We have got seven games left and hopefully I can score the goals to put it right. I let the boys, the club and myself down and I've been thinking when I get back I've got to do as much as I can.''

The sooner the better he gets back to our front line and scoring the goals which will help keep us in the prem next season... YL. p.s. Could do with 'The Hare' lining up along-side him, though.

agree with that yeold. we know we are not going to defend a 1 nil that often and teams are going to score against us but with hare dj varny and co we are also going to score. lets not change it now, lets use what we have all season and then in the summer Ian can do what ever he wants with them for our second season in the prem
