Blackpool defender David Carney has confirmed he will miss the rest of the season with a shoulder injury.
Carney has failed to feature in the Seasiders' last three games due to the complaint and is now set to undergo surgery in order to put things right.
"I saw the specialist the other day and he just said he recommends that I should get it done," Carney told the club's official website.
"I was testing it out and it's not good - I think there is a bit of bone damage there, so it just needs fixing and hopefully I will be back for pre-season next year."

I thought he only had a 1 year contract, i would not be to sad to see him leave and free up the wages for new blood.
Dont think he really cut it at LB when Crainey was out and cannot see him getting a place further up the field.
