I have wanted to give this more thought before I posted but unless I missed something was the tribute to Allan Brown on Saturday a bit shabby?
A minutes applause instead of the minutes silence. I know Geordie fans and they would have respected the silence to a man. No players on the pitch to pay their respects to a true Blackpool legend. Even the kids doing the penalty shoot out carried on taking penalties all the way through the applause.
I was very disappointed that Allan didnt get the send off he deserved and it left a bit of a bad taste in the mouth.
As I said, shabby for a club who purport to revere true servants of the club.

The 'Gazette' states a bit - see previous thread on this topic, Sandy.

Agree Sandy,as I said to you at the time,he was treated shabbily by the club in the past and his "tribute" seemed to me to be in keeping with that. The ghost of Cartmell and that attitude still seems to haunt us.
A bloody disgrace,but somehow I'm not surprised.
