Charlie Adam has pledged to give his all in the remaining games of Blackpool's relegation battle after admitting his form has taken a dip in recent weeks.
Adam has been one of the Seasiders' star performers in their maiden Barclays Premier League campaign and was among the shortlisted nominees for the Professional Footballers' Association Player of the Year award won by Tottenham's Gareth Bale last month.
The club captain has struggled to keep to his own high standards of late,
"For the last few weeks I have been frustrated with the way I have played. I'll openly admit that I've not played as well as I think I probably could have."
He added: "But the players in that team have helped me and hopefully if I keep trying to work as hard as I can, if other things don't happen then my work-rate will help the team.
"The important thing is that you keep on trying 110% every week, and then we'll see what has happened by the end of the season - if we can stay in the league."

Can't disagree with him, 'bout time he put in one of those performances, preferablyl on the same day DJ gets his shooting boots on, and the defense plays like they did against Stoke. Please do it this weekend, not sure my heart will take it if they wait till Old Trafford!! By the way, Sherlock, have you changed the background colour, or have I got a migraine coming on???

I think Adam needs a big finish to the season, not only for the team but if he's got his heart set on a move away to one of the big boys, if he doesn't improve to the standard he set in the first half of the season they may think twice. Although form is temporarily, class is permanent as they say.
