With the dust settling around Bloomers and the new season only a few weeks away, I was wondering what sort of players we need and can realisticly get. In the past we've seemed to go for the cheap option or free transfers but now with the parachute payments from the prem, who can we now set our sights on and will other players see coming to Blackpool as an attractive option. I know Ollie wants us to be pushing next year for promotion, so will Karl back his manager in the transfer market or will the cheque book be left on the mantelpiece. Just like to know everyone's thoughts..........!!!! UTP!!!!!!!!

I think we will spend more than we normally do but cant see us breaking the bank. If/When Charlie moves on it will be intresting how much goes in the transfer kitty I think if Oyston comes out and puts the all the profit into new players he will gain alot of respect from the fans

I'd like to think that Karl will see the light and invest a bit of the cash in the team and that yes we will get in the kind of players Ollie thinks will give us a shot at getting back up. I'd also like to think that all the profit from the sale of Charlie will be spent in the summer, but I'm not sure it will be as much as we would all like it to be.Say we gwt 10mill for him,by the time everyone has had their bit (what percentage do Rangers get?)what does Charlie get?. Big summer of change coming me thinks, exiting isnt it!! As for who we get in...................Ill get back to you on that one?

Rangers have a 5% sell-on, I believe.
I'll have to check the threads/posts this time last year/last window? for answer as we've prev. discussed this aspect of CA.

I know he went off the boil a bit this year, but anyone who has the skill and vsion to do what he did to Wolves, I'd have him back like a shot if the money was right, and he's not carrying an injury

Did we have a agreed fee in the loan deal ? I'm sure Ollie said something about it round about Jan time.

I see we are info another 6 weeks of panto fun between the papers and the club
POOL have denied reports they have had an offer accepted for Chelsea’s England Under-21 star Jack Cork, who spent last season on loan at Lancashire rivals Burnley.
The Gazette understands the Seasiders have been tracking Cork for some time but secretary Matt Williams said: “Contrary to speculation, we have not had a bid accepted for the player and we were surprised to read that we had.
“The manager has given the chairman a number of targets and he is speaking to their clubs, their representatives and to the individuals concerned. As soon as something is finalised it will be announced.”
Southampton are understood to be favourites to sign Cork, though Burnley and Pool may
