or maybe just the right words, yesterday was at times exhilerating but ultimately heartbreaking. I truely believe we did not deserve that. I thought after a nights sleep I would be ok but having read a couple of posts I have tears in my eyes again.
I am steering clear of any reports of the game as I expect them to be patronising and maybe even full of I told you so's.
I am so proud of what we have acheived this season but once the dust has settled and the media circus as moved on, I fear for us. The team will be split up, a team that really was so much better than the sum of its individual parts. I think it will be very hard for us to back up and will will have to settle for mid table in the Championship at best I hope that Ollie is given funds to replace the players we are going to lose , I hope most of all that Ollie is still with us so he needs the support from above.
If this is a bit depressing reading it probably reflects how I am feeling at the moment, I am sure I will snap out of it.

I am sure lots of us feel the same...
What i really want to see is the money spent wisely by bringing in some new players but on 3 year contracts no more 1 or 2 year deals. and not at the last min. please karl give Ian a chance to work with them for a few weeks before the start of the season
Personally i think we have a good chance of building a very good side but i think it will take 2 years.
Job number one before anything else is to get Ian signed onto a new contract, That is the most important factor in all this.
I hope that some of our new found fans also stay with us.
Would i change the way we play the game? not on your life

Yes Lou, know where you are comming from, the last couple of seasons and in fact the progress of the last ten years has been just great and the thought of the team splitting up has been a worry for me the last couple of months. Saying that I rember the days of Matthews, Morty, Ernie Taylor, Hugh Kelley, Tony Green, Fred Pickering and a host of others and felt the exactly the same. I felt that in the past 12 months we have taken on players perhaps not Ollie's first choice but to make the numbers up, hope the future players will be more in line who Ollie wants than last minute panic buys. We have just moved over from the fast lane of the football motorway to the centre lane, but somewhere up the road we will once again move over, it may take a few miles, a few uphill battles, but we will get there in the end, just hope it dosn't take another 40 years, Jesus I would be 110. White van man, eat your heart out.

I agree the season we have just had has been an fantastic year full of highlights and memories. If the money is used wisely over the next couple of years then the face of the club will be changed forever. No longer will we start a season relegation favourites, even mid table Championship is an achievement from where we were 10/15 years ago. If we can keep Ollie and invest in facilities and decent youth (Matty Phillips) then when we get the chance to take the step up again in 2,3,5 years we will be a much stonger club.
We have to watch for those fans who start booing/leaving early next year if we are not in the top 6 pushing for an instant return. The next 2 years are about rebuilding a team that can do well in the Championship and push for the Prem.
Even if we do a Sheff Utd I will be down at Bloomfield Road.
