And the award for concise postings (doesn't) go to Yeni Thank you for everyone who voted for me, I feel genuinely humble to gain your support, and, all joking apart, was gobsmacked to get it By the way, my wife pxssed herself that anyone thinks I have humility Congratulations to all the other recipients, all well deserved for some great articles. The thing I love about this board is that we can go from intense footy, to silly, to in another universe off topic, to emotional and back, all in one thread, without falling out and abusing each other. my friends

Thank you all for voting for me and reading some of my weird posts.
The joke thread, I started on a bad day, I find a joke can put you in a better frame of mind and believe one of the UK's greatest assets over the years have been our comedians. From my early days at the Opera House, Winter Gardens and Grand theatre, seeing the likes of Spike Milligan, Arthur Haynes, Cardew Robinson., Frank Carson and Billy Connely plus many many more who could bring a smile and a laugh to so many people at a venue. Thanks once again, keep smiling, we will be watching football in a matter of weeks.

True, considering the definition of 'Poignant' is... (yes, especially for the ignoramuses amongst us.....) - "moving, touching, sad, bitter, painful, intense, distressing, pathetic" I think quite a lot of posters misunderstood the context of the word..... no? YL.

Eh? I just thought it funny that someone was declared 'poignant' as opposed to a particular situation, such as in 'Parky'. YL.

Don't know how you can call him a f''''ng T;;;;r, he has given billions of his money to world health to save the lives particularly of children in developing countries, from malaria and other illnesses. If you do not like what he does in his business life that's fair enough but you should state that, no other person in this world has given as much to charity than he has done and the work he has done with drug manufacturers to free up and reduce the cost of drugs to the poor world wide.
