Ever so quietly down at Bloomfield RD a squad is being assembled by the magician Holloway.
Now i have been reading some fans comments on other sites and places like the gazette that we need to show our intent by signing a big name for 2 million plus, by our standards big money.
But do we really need too? or is Ian quietly getting some of the players he wants as i really don't believe wages are a issue at the moment.
Look at Barry Ferguson if he signs his wages will be far less than at Birmingham, so people can not really use that old chestnut as a excuse anymore.
For example the media have reported we have had a bid accepted for Mame Biram Diouf of Man Utd. This I find hard to believe now as he played last night for united and scored and does not really sound like a player on his way out of united.
I think its time for certain fans to wake up and realize that as long as ollie wants them.
Then they are good enough to wear tangerine if they cost nothing or 2 million does it really matter.
The most pleasing thing to see is the age of the squad coming down with the odd season pro added for experience, things are changing at bloomers a squad is being built for the long term future of the club.
and long may it continue, no more last day transfer madness like last year.

Couldn't agree more, what we need are great players to add to our legends, not expensive profiles. Far, far better to spend money on wages than transfer fees and parasitical agents. And far better to use players who WANT TO PLAY for the maestro that is Sir Ian, than just want another big payday. Sooooo looking forward to this season, the first for three where I have not feared a battering Tha't put the mockers on that, then

Spot on Sherlock and yeolde, I echo everything you've said, but what i would add is, no we don't need a big money signing, I believe in Ollie and what he is building a young , raw squad with a pinch of experience, which is essential for the young guys, as said above we don't need has been's looking for a final pay day, I would much rather have a young, raw player that is willing to learn and wants to come and play for Blackpool and has time on his side to become a tangerine legend in his own right with us. I don't like criticising any Pool fans but some have been spending Karls money on a fantasy football team since the day of that awful day at OT. We're assembling a young talented squad at the moment and these are exciting times for us now and for the future. The future's bright, the future's TANGERINE.

I cannot add to all the things said above. Just cannot wait for the season to start. I have got shakey hands and needing my Pool fix. UTMP.
