NEAL Eardley may not be involved at Hull tonight, after Holloway revealed the right-back is still coming to terms with his wage reduction.
Eardley is one of three players whose wages have been slashed in half since relegation and he is yet to agree a new deal.
Holloway said: “He is so messed up by the whole thing I doubt he will be part of the squad at Hull.”
Alex Baptiste is expected to start at right-back, while Craig Cathcart has recovered from an Achilles problem and is set to take his place alongside Ian Evatt at the heart of the defence.
Kevin Phillips and Ferguson are the only summer signings expected to start.
Sorry get a bloody grip of yourself Eardley i never really get on any players back but come on. You knew the terms when you signed don't come crying now.
Start of the season and this happens, not really helping ollie or the team is it!!!!
Maybe you should speak to EVO he signed straight away....
You are still on a weekly wage that many people would dream of, just get on with it.

I'm getting a bit peed off about this. Someone needs to bang some heads together and if they have "issues" then get rid! These lads are paid a bloody fortune for playing football as a career. It's not like your digging a trench under fire!!! WAKE UP I'm sure there is a generous bonus if we get promoted so just get out there and play like you want to win. Even "poorly" paid players earn more in a month than most people do in a year.If your going to winge then try a proper job for a while at £6.00 and hour.

They probably don't see it in that light, just imagine you had helped your boss to a £90m windfall and he now cuts your wages in half, that's probably the way they see it. They also know that the parachute payments for four years and at £16m this coming season, is exactly for that, paying wages to players who had been on Premiership money.

True ,but they signed contracts and are fully aware of the terms of the contract and when they signed the first time our aim that year was to avoid relegation to leauge 1 not promotion to premership...

Quite right. A contract is a contract. They were happy to sign up at the time. So shut up, show what you're worth and then sign a new contract, with hopefully more wages, next time round. If you don't like whats on offer or think you're worth more, then move to someone who agrees with you! It really isn't rocket science.

Did they get a pay rise when we went up ? if so, is their pay cut down to the same level they were on when they were playing at this level before ?
If so then they haven't got room to complain
If this is a pay cut from what they were on in the Championship before, then I fully support them

Agree with April if he is on the same as he was before he has no reason to complain as he joined us as a championship club on that money so he is in the same boat as he was when he signed but with a added bonus of a season in the Prem on double money. In a way it is disresectful to the fans who are on a fraction of the wage and spend it to support them
