Nottingham Forest striker Dexter Blackstock is a target for Blackpool.
New Forest boss Steve McClaren signed Ishmael Miller and Matt Derbyshire last week to bolster his forward line, which could see Blackstock pushed further down the pecking order.
The 25-year-old is back in training following rehabilitation on a long-term cruciate knee ligament injury suffered in November but now faces a battle to get back into Forest's first team.
Meanwhile, Blackpool boss Ian Holloway is in the market for another striker after the loss of DJ Campbell to Premiership new boys QPR.
And, after capturing Kevin Phillips in the summer, it is widely believed that the Seasiders need at least one more frontman before the window shuts
