I see the monkeys are on AVFTT again slating Karl for his running of the club when will they see that part of the reason we have had such a wonderfull 2 years is because of the way the club is run. Building slowly not throwing money away paying silly money for players that upset the team spirit or paying agents for letting their charges sign for us.
Keep up the good work Karl and Ollie.

Calling people names because you disagree with their point of view is somewhat childish. What some fans cannot understand and they are entitled to their opiinion is that of the transferred in players this summer, only Ferguson cost anything approx £700,000 the rest were all free. With income from various sources in excess of £60m over the past 12 months some fans are asking why hasn't an amount been spent on a goalkeeper and one or two strikers, that's not unrealistic and would not send the club into debt. As for the last two years if Karl had had his way Charlie would not have happend and nor would the Premier league, the purchase of Charlie was down to Belekon, the way the team performed was down to IH, getting to Wembley and the Premier league had nothing to do with KO.

I'm not so sure it had nothing to do with KO. He did afterall appoint Ollie. He doesn't do himself any favours from a PR point of view but his records speaks for itself. We know he's as tight as a ducks bottom but it's just a question of is he too tight. One thing for sure is that he is risk averse but I do admire his stand against agents and stupid wages. He doesn't get rolled over often and has been pretty steadfast as our chairman. Judge him at the end of the season. If we end up top 10 I don't think we can complain too much. Top 6 and I'll send AVFTT some humble pie.

The 2 lads from liverpool combined cost 1.5 million so we have spent a bit more than just on ferguson.
every fan is entitled to their opinion, but they can not demand what has happened to their money as so many do, because its not their money.
AVFTT do keep going over old ground though and like beting Karl around the head. what amazes me is none have grasped that the decisions still come down to Owen and not Karl as owen is the major share holder. so any final decision on all things money is owen's not Karl's.
Think its a bit unfair whit to say that karl has had no hand in the last 2 years.
but each fan has a right like i said to a opinion
and you can not beat a good debate, just as long as it stays as that and not a slagging match

I too get very tired with the same rubbish statistics about how much money "we" have. Firstly, BFC is a private company, owned by a few shareholders, not us. Second, nowhere in all these wonderful stats does the cost of our new stadium appear. Thirdly, if last season is anything to go by, we won't have had any of the parachute money yet. Fourthly, why on earth would we want to go the same bankrupt way as so many other clubs, spending every penny before we get it ( 29 clubs into admin in the last 12 years?). Fifthly, to slate the man in charge for everything wrong and give him no credit for the successes is unfair. Where were we when Karl took over? Six, and I know this is really old fashioned, why not keep a good chunk of what we have got to build the training ground, fund further investment in a few years, rather than spend everything now. Seventh, how many players have we brought in this summer, seems a shed load to me. Do they have no value cos we didn't pay a fortune, in which case, CA, DV and DJ were also valueless. Eight, agree about no insults, so why do so many insult KO?
In my lifetime, I've seen the heights and my club nearly disappear. If he is on the conservative side, but we survive, good on him. Bet you a diamond to a pinch of shxx someone else in the league will go under this year, at least we won't be worrying it's us. This is also the first season in quite a while we haven't been half expecting relegation, too, maybe memories are all too short and we are turning into billy bigboots. And who knows, maybe they have got a couple of tasty loans lined up when the Prem squads are finalised, if you were managing some dveveloping strikers, where better than the Mighty for them to learn to finish?
And breathe LOL

Well said yeolde I am glad someone set it out like that as I did not have the time or inclination. BFC may have had a large cash injection from our success but as you rightly state a good chunk has been spent on the ground/will be spent on training ground. Surely building for the future of the club is most important and much as we all want success, it must have sound foundations and not be built on a bed of sand as most other clubs seem to be doing.
Onwards and upwards!

Its about quality not quantity. I'll admit I have never been a big Oyston fan but last season I changed my view, I agreed on alot of policies he stuck by and now we are one of the most stable clubs in the whole football league if not Europe (don't quote me on that lol)
